Problem with Season 1

I've played through all of The Walking Dead games and the DLC's, but in order to prepare for The Final Season I have started a new game on the second save file to get myself up to par with the events that has happened.

However, every time I finish Episode 1 on Season 1 my game save file isn't there... there's nothing on the game screen other than my first game save in slot 1 which has completed everything and 400 Days.

It's starting to annoy me greatly. I've replayed Episode 1 four times now in hopes that the issue will go away but every time the end credits are finished and I am brought back to the main screen my game save in slot 2 is not there.

I am playing on PS4 using the disc version with the 400 Days DLC included. Can anyone offer some help? Is there a known solution to this that I have overlooked? Or am I doomed to be unable to play the game I have purchased?
