TV show question: why doesn't Glenn care about his family?

Everyone got a flashback of their life before the ZA but not Glenn all we get are a weak reference to his sisters and his mother. But where the hell are they? Were they Zombie food, did they get seperated?

    What? What are you talking about? When was that? What season?

    But to answer your question, his family didn't really impact who he was as a character like Abraham's did him, for example. Glenn's character and identity weren't at all tied to his pre Z family so there wasn't any reason to dwell on them.

    Season 2 after they found Sophia as a Walker.

    I don't recall. My answer stands though. Glenn's family was never important to who he was as a character. Merle was instrumental in Daryl's development as a child, in how he came to be as he was. Ed was vital to how Carol was. Carl and Lori were incredibly important to both Rick and Shane and drove them forward. Glenn's family wasn't a driving force in who he was or his motivations.
