How likely is reuniting with Lee in afterlife ending?

I know I sound crazy at first, but now that we all know it is extremely likely that Clementine dies, and after Telltale said that the ending would be satisfactory, I really, really, don't see how could Clementine's death be satisfactory unless she reunites with Lee in afterlife xd. Because, even if she saves lives of many, MANY people, fans are still going to be screaming at her death so I don't know how else would you make her death satisfactory ending?

Seeing the afterlife wouldn't really fit in with the atmosphere of The Walking Dead universe

Even if there was a after life, Lee has a 50% chance of not even getting there due to possibly becoming a walker that is trapped inside the shop.

  • After them putting in the scene where Tenn draws you into his heaven, I would say this is actually plausible.

  • When you become a walker you are dead so you could say his walker body is just a dead corpse while his "soul" is outside of it.

  • None of that in the Walking Dead, pls.

  • Maybe, but I think it's acceptable, I don't think fans would be complaining. I can imagine if we play as AJ in the last episode, and then after everyone realizes she's dead, we get last scene, where she's just some kind of a ghost, walking through the mist, and then seeing the ghosts of previous dead friends and siblings, and then finally she comes to Lee. And it could really involve some cool graphics effects, I think it would be a very cool scene.

Well I don't guarantee she's gonna die, I'm just discussing the if she dies possibility, because based on current hints like spoiler achievements there is a good chance that that could happen.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I don't want her to die either, I'm just trying to prepare for it because some spoilers are hinting at her death

  • I think he's more realist than optimistic. Seriously, Telltlae knows nobody wants to see her die, they're trying to get back on their feet and listen to the fans now, the last thing they'll do is make a predictable ending that's gonna piss everyone off

    I love your optimism.

  • Well i dont think that the Everybody Dies™ ending will really work this time since its the final season and idk how they could kill her in a way that isnt just "oh ok so its over she died credits, end of the whole 6 yr story" it would b rly hard to give the "satisfying ending" they said they will while simultaneously killing her so maybe they just wont

    I love your optimism.

This is something that I have been imagining for a long time, even before the first episode came out. We have a war in the last episode, between the Clem group with the help of Lilly, who betrayed the antagonist group of adults because of weakness towards Clem, some others followed her because they were good friends of her. A war is unleashed, suddenly, over the end, between shot and others, one of them gives Clem in the belly area, we know that she is going into rapid shock, so we saw in Season 2, so he faints or even dies for a few seconds / minutes. Someone in the group does not want to let her die, she starts doing CPR as Lilly did with her father in S1, it could be Louis or Violet or even Lilly or one of her friends. She has a scene while she is with one foot in the other world where she relives her past, all the people who were with her from the beginning and helped her to be what she is today. His parents, Kenny / Jane, Luke, Katjaa, Duck, Omid, in what seems to be the jarden of his house, the one we met in S1. And at the end, still in his dream, Lee appears entering through that gate, they embrace very strong, there are no words, only hugs and looks. After greeting everyone for the last time, Lee and his parents tell him that "this is not the time". They push her towards what appears to be a bottomless pit, while in the background she hears "you will never be alone". We return to the scene where they are trying to revive her, they managed to stop the hemorrhaging of the shot, and suddenly, among the tears of those who accompanied her, Clem opens her eyes and breathes very hard, looking weakly at everyone around her, holding AJ's hand or Louis or Violet (I guess these 2 will be the options of romance this season, I would have also Aasim there as an option because it's interesting but it does not look like it's going to be that way). Someone carries her in her arms and carries her inside the place where that "war" took place. The screen goes black, the text "2 weeks later" appears and the rest is on its own.

    I don't know, it's something I've thought about a while ago xDD.

  • Please no more Lee, I mean christ we already had one dream about talking to lee again. Lees already been mentioned several times.

  • Idk. Religion is a major subject when it comes to the walking dead

  • Lee is a powerful emotional tool. Bringing him back in some way like that, after his girl Clem followed his advices for such long time, would be extremely powerful

  • Hope not, my Clem doesn't believe in an afterlife. Plus I think it would just be a little corny. Lee is dead, let him stay that way. Now as for a flashback, or daydream scenario. Sure.

i aint sure about the afterlife stuff i also aint really sure about the flashback stuff,i mean, sure, havin lee mentions at the beginning like we did in S2 so that the new characters know her story is nice but i also dont rly know about another flashback i feel like we had enough lee for now.wait, actually, a sort of dream stuff like clem mentioned in ANF about hearing lee guide her that would b kinda cool.

  • I agree. For me I have no need to see Lee again. But if others would like to, sure. I just wouldn't want it in some afterlife scenario, given my clem has a grim outlook on everything. Maybe Clem gets knocked in the head by someone and then passes out and she have a dream of lee. Hell, I don't know.

That's right,i know it sound strange since well issa game bout zombies inspired by a comic series and all,but the first twd had a sort of almost "realistic feel" to it S2 as well but they went a bit retarded and over the top with some of the s++t in ANF,some of the zombies fighting scenes and the ending especially, and afterlife stuff in The Final Season would b a kinda sh++ty ending and not really that "satisfying"
if she dies then everyone is free to think whatever they want, that she went to "mandarin and sweet orange hybrid heaven",but them showing it in the game wouldnt feel right

  • A dream sequence would be awesome but I would want to see other Major Characters from previous seasons alongside Lee and her parents

  • im also thinking it would b cool have something like showing her house with the treehouse and shit, sort of like they did in the S2 trailer for the final episode but IDK

  • If she dies i think Telltale will make us understand that she finally has the rest she deserves and maybe it's better than a world full of zombies where all your family is already dead.

Lees already been mentioned several times.

Even more than her own biological parents who she's known for years longer. LOL I think she misses Lee more than mom and dad even though Lee was there for her, Christa and Omid too, Kenny or Jane in some ways as well but. I'm shocked she hasn't brought up what her own parents were like or how much she wanted to say a proper farewell to them.

Her father was the reason behind her trademark cap now so to speak. We are far overdue for a Clementine dream sequence over her parents before they do another Lee one even though Lee was a very cool guy.

Please no more Lee, I mean christ we already had one dream about talking to lee again. Lees already been mentioned several times.

  • You mean unless they showed walker god or walker satan?

  • My Clem doesn't believe in fairy tales. There's no such thing as an afterlife.
