How many of you wants to play the episodes sooner? Help me, so they get to see this.

Dear Telltale Games,

I'm writing this letter in the name of your fans. We hope you get to read this letter and we do hope we will get answers.
We want to thank you all the effort that you put in your games, especially The Walking Dead Series. We played the first season a long time ago, but we knew it was special. It really touched our hearts and we started to wait for the other seasons.
Now we are here at the end of the story still waiting for the last episodes of this amazing game that you made. Most of us have already played the first episode and we still can't wait for what comes next.
We, your fans, have a request. We really want to play all the episodes, just to experience the whole story without waiting months. We do know that the waiting would worth it, but it'll be better for all of us, if you can reduce the releasing schedules a little.
I know it's a lot to ask, but we are hopeful and thankful for You whatever happens after this letter. Thank you.

Greetings from all around the world.

  • Who wants to wait for episodic releases, especially when the game itself is short as hell?

  • Eh it's only 5 weeks and 5 days. We've got PAX East? and a trailer, and maybe some more stuff to look forward to in the coming months.

  • Let them take their time. Please TT take your time. This episode was just so good. I want the remaining episodes to be on par.

  • This thread is stupid.

Don't rush it. Allow them to take their time. They're already pretty tight in terms of release by trying to keep a per month schedule. Reducing the schedule will not allow them to produce the same quality that we all loved about this episode, and there are already questions to whether or not they can maintain that length and quality within this monthly release schedule.

Let them do their thing. Of course, they could change up the formula and create all the episodes within the game, and TT is always finding ways to be innovative. So we'll have to see what they do in the future. A full game release is possible, I imagine.

  • I'm going to be controversial i assume.

I want to wait for one big reason

Fast release telltale: okay so in act 2 we kill off either violet or Louis act 3 either AJ or Clementine gets bit act 4 the school burns down

Slow release telltale: hey I think the fans like Violet and Louis let's give them relationships.

  • This would totally ruin the hype.. We wouldn't even be talking about all the Marlon/AJ stuff, we wouldn't care what happened on EP2 or EP3 because we would all be in shock for EP4.. This thing really doesn't make sense, the hype, the community working together, that's what makes Telltale games so interesting.

  • I prefer to wait and them being good than worse and faster

  • This is a short wait compared to most Telltale episodes already though.

  • Its only a little over a month till episode 2. Pffft.

I understand everyone's response to this. But I hope you know that the game is already done, they won't fix anything about it, so i don't know why some of you say it will ruin the game. I didn't ask to just release the game now. I asked for a better schedule, but I do understand.

I would rather not want the episodes sooner. In one of their games (GoTG), they released the last episode less than a month from the previous game, and it really showed. I would rather wait 2-3 months for a well done and well-planned episode rather than 1 month for a rushed one.

Maybe you're right. But in a community like this it won't be hard waiting  . I'm just too excited  (and the game is already done.. so this isn't rushed, I don't know why some of you think that.)

  • not happening

  • I prefer to wait and have a good chapter to be honest

  • ...You could also just wait until Dec 18th and then play all the episodes. Shit isnt going to be finished any faster, all the episodes wont be finished until then anyway.

The game isn’t done yet which is why the dates are still subject to change, Telltale will release one episode while another is still being worked on so it’s not possible for them to release all episodes now even if they wanted to.

  • I don't know if this is allowed here but it's somewhat related. For Stranger Things, especially since it's a Netflix series, I want Telltale to shake up their formula again. I want there to be 8-10 episodes that are only <60 minutes long, that release every 2 weeks. Just an idea, it might be fun. Ples don't hate me. It might be more convenient for people who want episodes every 2 weeks who can't wait. Of course, they'd have to develop almost everything beforehand so that it won't be a tight schedule that's really tiring.
Ah, and episodes could be 3 dollars each! Fun! Making the Season Pass 30 dollars, thus increasing Telltale's revenue! Fun for everyone!
