Which ending would make the most sense?

A lot of discussions revolve around what we want to happen, or what we're confident won't happen, yet I never see a discussion around which ending we think would make the most sense.

Given that this is the last time we'll see Clementine, I think Telltale have more breathing room with the amount of endings they can have, especially knowing that unlike Seasons 1 and 2, they don't have any loose ends to tie up besides, ultimately, Clementine.

I think it would make sense to have a DBH-type ending, where the fates of several different characters can be decided by how we play each episode, with a possibility that everyone dies, or several of them don't.

Thoughts?

  • In Telltale we trust. I don't think anyone here can come up with a better story, let alone a better ending. The ending I want is for Clem to die. Because then I'll cry. I think in the end everyone will die, and Clem will die whilst holding AJ's hand. But then, militia tanks will burst throught the school walls and will save AJ, of course he doesn't know about the army. Firefighters, Poilceman and more all come to the rescue. Awestruck by this turnaround, AJ gets taken to a new location - a new location that is even better than the Commonwealth. And after his death, he'll transition to the comics.

Everyone thought about Clem going to the comics, but what about AJ?
This is a joke comment, I think this would be incredibly underwhelming for an ending to such a great series. Of course, by the time the tanks come the players would all be crying, so I guess it could work.

I think AJ will want to join the bad guys at some point, because they aren't weak.
At the end Clem will have the choice to let him go, kill him, or join him.

edit: Or convince him not to ofcourse, if you made the right choices throughout the game.

  • That would be a pretty interesting twist actually.
