Clem will be 24 this year.

In case you don't realize, it's only 2012 for Clem in TFS. She was born in 94. The Outbreak started in 03, before her 9th birthday. It's been about 9 years at this point, which is 2012 and puts her at 18, or almost 18 depending on if her birthday has rolled around yet. If she survives to our current year of 2018, she'll be 24(or very close to it) right now.

Kirkman has stated that the ZA started at current time for us, which at the time issue 1 released was October 2003. The games fudge the time a little bit and make it start in the summer, but it's still 2003. Clem was 8, almost 9. Work the math backward. 2003-9=1994.

  • Its weird to think she's 2 years older than me. Huh.

  • Gotcha, but where did you get that information from? Not calling you a liar, I'm just curious.

  • I'm trying to find it. It's been a while since I read it. Kirkman was asked in an interview once and he said something along the lines of he never really fussed over the when of the events, just that it all began at the same time issue 1 was published. I'm trying to find it. I don't remember what publication it was in. Hell, might have been in the back of one of the comic issues itself in which case I may never find it, there's almost 200 of them lol.

  • Alright then, thanks for trying at least. :)

It was in one of the comics, the letter hacks section. I found the quote on the wiki, but it attributes it to the wrong issue so I don't know at this time which issue it was printed in but here.

In regard to the timeline, Robert Kirkman wrote in 2007, "The Walking Dead takes place in our world, as if this stuff had started happening in October 2003 and continued from there. Now, (Issue 38) in the book it's still only like... June 2004 at this point (If you're keeping track).

Alright then, thanks for trying at least.

  • If shes still A L I V E. :(
