Appealing to violet or appealing to louis

Im a little confused about the choice between appealing to violet or appealing to louis: appealing to louis will make him from heartbroken to Lost and i dont know if thats a good thing or not. The same goes to violet if we appealed to her she will be from horrified to guilty and o dont know if thats a good thing or not top.

  • Getting this thing out of my head XD

  • Don't dwell on what their statuses say during the credits. The main takeaway is that whoever you appeal to strengthens their relationship with Clem so appeal to whoever you like most and want to see more of during the season.

  • So the person that i appeal to will make his relationship with me better??

  • The main takeaway is that whoever you appeal to strengthens their relationship with Clem

If thats the case then creating a good relationship with Vi and then appealing to Louis would be the smartest play coz Vi already despises Marlon after the reveal

Louis. Appealing to him is better from a storyline perspective. Appealing to Violet felt...wrong. I know she means well, but people don’t take into a account that Louis has been Marlon’s best friend for YEARS and he’s the best person to talk Marlon down.

Who do you think Marlon will listen to? His best friend or someone he always found difficult?

Louis chose to defend a girl he met a few days ago rather than his best friend. You can even see the betrayal in Marlon’s eyes when he stepped in front of him. Louis was calm during the whole thing while Violet took out her cleaver, which probably made Marlon even more on edge. I guarantee you Louis will undergo development in Episode 2.

  • I agree that appealing to Louis feels more right and/or complete, but there's not necessarily anything wrong with appealing to Violet either. Not that I've seen beyond the obvious anyway.

  • Originally I appealed to Violet because I was afraid that if I did Louis he would side with Marlon (cuz they were best friends). Hopefully Louis doesn’t get mad at me or something because I actually like him more then Violet.

  • Louis will probably hate us for not taking the gun from AJ in the beginning. I wanna see him turn heel.

  • I can see this choice coming up as well and theirs no way I’d take away Aj’s gun.

theres no way I’d take away Aj’s gun.

What?! If you had your eyes closed and your headphones on after they met Louis, he clearly isn't ready to have a gun. I know he's like 8 or something, but his judgement and analytical skills are poor, he acts haphazardly, and he doesn't fully understand the gravity of most situations. For christ's sake, he said "What? I saved one for me" after everyone looked at him with shock. Someone like that isn't ready to have a gun.

  • Oh, so this is an actually thread for answerin now?
Okay, well, if I had played the game, I definitely would've appealed to Louis.

  • Gonna have to agree with Red Vomiting Kitty here.

Well marlon did kill brody a close friend of violet's and violet finds out that marlon actually gave sophia and minerva away to horrible people. Now violet instead of grieving because she thought they were killed by walkers now has to worry about if they're both still alive and if they are, are they okay and getting her hopes up because they might be alive. I'm going to assume neither is alive and if one of them is it wont be violet's previous lover.

  • i didn't wanna have to appeal to anyone but i got scared since i immediately rushed for the gun and got shot and had to start over. so i picked violet. no particular reason.

  • I Saw one of the predictions that the one that you appeal to will make Clem be lesbian with violet in spite of clem being in love once with gabe but it would be best if Clem appealed to Louis because clem is not lesbian because of being in love with gabe in season 3 and also before Sophie and minerva went away violet and minerva were a couple but that doesnt that both of the Twins are dead so if violet and clem were a couple the consequences would be catastrophic.

  • Right so I have a question, does appealing to Louis lower your relationship or make it better?

  • It most likely makes it better. We’ll find out in the next episode.

Hm...perhaps because it'd be less backing you so much as appealing to his friend's better side to calm things down from potentially getting someone else killed?

No, you're literally asking either of them to take a leap of faith and trust your word, the word of a stranger, over their best friend/longtime leader. Realistically you'd think both of them would trust Marlon, but well, Clementine apparently has a charm.

I don't look at choices from the perspective of after knowing the consequences. That's not their point at all. Either way, you don't know if either of them will aid you, much less how they will.

  • Dat's fair.

, but well, Clementine apparently has a charm.

Yeah, it's called "Being the Protagonist."
    Among other things.

I mean, that's just generally going with what would be more dramatic/"complete" from my perspective. With a dash of banking on there being a difference in how Louis and Violet conduct themselves.
Though admittedly, you could also say either choice can be made from inherently knowing that they're not gonna give their main [mascot] character(s) such a serious L this early into the story.

  • Thinking about it neither of them should have really stood up for Clem initially. She's a stranger they've known for a day with very limited knowledge of her.
