Lets show Telltale our appreciation for what they`ve done

Instead of making 10 ship posts, maybe we should all thank Telltale for the amazing job they did with Done Running. For me this was the best opening episode theyve ever done and it was so full of surprises, the ending was so good and unexpected. The new characters were great, the way AJ is portrayed is great(except his ending actions). The game engine is looking better then even, sometimes feels like a comic. I havent been active in this community since the day of Tales from the Borderlands and i proud that this great starting episode brought me back.

  • I agree. I really enjoyed introduction to all of the characters and chats like the card game; scene where we steal supplies and last scene were also very intense. Also let's thank for the new features like unscripted combat, over the shoulder perspective etc.
I'm looking forward to episode 2 being even better, and e3 even better, and e4 the best of the best!
But I also have to thank them for including romance in next episode, god bless you telltale <3

  • I agree, they did a damn fine job. Thanks Telltale!

  • Yup, Done Running was absolutely amazing! Hope the quality and length remain in the following episodes

  • I'll show appreciation once they fix the Wellington ending

  • Wholeheartedly agree.

People can have their fun with the shipping threads, no harm done. But I'm also back here from a long hiatus for the same reasons.

It's great feeling this excited for a new episode and discussing everything on this very forum once more.

    You go, Telltale!

  • they set the bar so high, they have to keep it up or go higher. I`m so excited for the whole season, but sadly its the last of Clem and we only get 4

  • One thing where I feel Telltale have outdone themselves is the atmosphere during the whole episode. I love the fact they took the time to introduce new characters, more exploration definitely helped. The first time Marlon was introduced and especially the basement scene you just could feel the imminent threat and I loved it.

You know when I'll watch the last second of the last episode of TFS, that last second is going to feel exactly like it felt for Clem the second she shot Lee. Just permanently being over with Clementine, I don't know how I'm going to cope with that.

Oh well I guess I have to hope that I someday in the future get to see Melissa Hutchinson in real life and give her one big gigantic hug.

I feel that Telltale is definitely treating this final season with the respect it deserves and they've recovered from ANF. This season harkens back to the earlier seasons, but also manages to feel new and unique.

    Some great points:

    • I love the art. It looks very gritty (which makes sense since it's been almost a decade since the apocolypse started) and reminiscent of the comics. They even used the comic book's title font for the "You are dead" screen. Clem's outfit/combo hairstyle is awesome. You can still see the OG Clem in there.
    • The music is great too, and I love that the series finally got an OP! The OP was definitely one of the highlights for me. The Season 1 theme is in the game too, which is great.
    • Subtle callbacks (like Clem's hat, Clem's fear of dogs, Clem's stun/kill fighting style) allow the game to feel connected to the others.
    • The new characters. Although I wish we could've had a freewalk of the school and been able to have longer conversations with the main characters, I am very happy with this new cast. Even if you don't ship Clem/Louis, you have to admit he's a hilarious character. Plus, romance options are great.
    • The scene with Brody in the basement. I know a lot of people have mentioned this before, but that was an excellent scene. There were a lot of well-scripted scenes.
    • New features like the objectives, collectables and relationship meters.
  • Telltale have done a fantastic job on The Final Season so far. The Steam reviews show that. A 97% Steam Rating doesn't sprout from nowhere. Telltale are doing brilliant and I sure to God hope that Clementine will receive a Happy Ending in The Final Season

Tbh, I feel that Clem dying for AJ would be... too predictable. I hope they don't do that. Plus, AJ is becoming more and more unlikable, which makes it different from the Lee/Clem situation.

I hope Clem stays alive. And Louis/Vi too.

  • They gotta fix the S2 ending bugs with the story builder and save imports first
    but yeah its good

  • Oh my darling
    Oh my darling
    Oh my darling Telltale Games
    You have finally
    Made a game
    That is wonderful again

(Well so far it has my approval but it’s still not as good as Season 1)

  • It's been 4 years since I've been this excited for another episode of TWD. Happy to have that feeling back.

  • I'll show appreciation when they fix this DAMN door!!!

  • I think someone else should restart this thread instead of being passive-aggressive towards shippers :/
