AJ‘s psyche

seen many comments and threads about AJ ia disturbing, a brat, his strange behaviors. People are quick to jump the boat without proper understanding of why he is this person that half of people here hate. AJ is not clementine so stop comparing or you will be resentful, AJ was born after the outbreak and lacks many social and emotional skills as he is in perma survival mode as you do in a bloody brain muncher infested merciless world. because he is lacking in these areas, AJ clashes with anyone born before the outbreak as you have seen. one more thing, remember this is a child we are talkimg about...sheesh

  • You're not really proving he's not disturbed, you're giving reasons why he's disturbed.

Me personally, I'm going to wait some more episodes before I form my opinion of the little guy.

  • Couldn’t have said it better myself

For one there is no comparison between Clementine and AJ just to get that clarified. I just don't like the character from his own personality and actions regardless of how justified they are. Just because someones actions are justified doesn't make them the slightest bit right or allow you to give them a clean pass on it.

By the way haven't there been at least 4-5 threads today about this exact topic defending the exact same position?.

  • not trying prove he is not disturbed, people need context and on this site...well

  • It still does nothing at least for me in my perception of the character regardless of what perspective or justification can or has been given pertaining to the actions and behavior of the character.

  • Fair enough. I was here during the Kenny is our lord and savior period, so I know subtlety can be hard to find around here sometimes. :)

  • I think AJ's cool. I was very unlikable as a kid. I just couldn't interact with other people very well.

  • You're calculating with your idea of what disturbed is... you have to remember... this is a completely different world. rules, morals, all of these things are different. He's growing up in a world where survival is number one and you fight and defend your tribe (Clem). He's not disturbed, he's a fighter. he is a survivor. Being liked and having emotions aren't important to survival here. he's also really small and is learning how to feel about things too, which is being lead by his "Mother" figure (Clem/You) so... to me I feel like he is anything, but disturbed.
