The reason for that i believe is theres no onscreen significance that occurs with Christa as there was with Lee, Kenny, etc. 95% of Clementine&Christa's relationship was developed offscreen or over timeskips leaving little onscreen chemistry between the player and Christa.

I highly doubt we'll see Christa again.
Telltale doesn't care about Christa. She's not coming back.
She never even gets a mention in-game despite being one of Clem's longest protectors.
