Fix for Season 2 unable to find save file from Season 1!
So I had this issue when I first played the games a couple years ago and with the release of the newest season I figured I’d replay through the first 3 seasons again. Firstly I couldn’t actually play a secondary game on my own profile, it just never saved anything from the game. Gave up on that though and just made a new PS4 profile and played that way.
Got to season 2 and went to load the first episode only for it to be unable to find my save file that I literally finished playing 10 minutes before. After much searching online and being unable to find a way to fix this I finally remembered how I managed it last time. So for everyone who maybe is in the same boat or will be in the future I hope your come across this post.
I have the disc versions as I prefer that if possible. So I uninstalled the game from the PlayStation and then made sure my ps4 was no longer connected to the internet - very important!- and then when I put the disc in and ran it off that I was able to find my save file. It seems to be the secondary update that they made for the game is responsible for the importing save issues so I just let it run off version 1.01 straight off the disc. I’m unsure how you would do this with a downloadable copy but it seems to work with disc versions.
Anyway, just thought I’d put it up here since I was unable to find a way around when I searched last night and this morning. Hope it causes people less stress in future.
