Has the cast of TWD or GOTG ever commented on the Telltale Games?

Posting this mainly about GOTG, but included TWD so I can put in general. (Since the GOTG forum is dead.)

Have any of the GOTG movie actors or Stan Lee ever commented on the game?
Have any main characters in the TWD show mentioned the game?

Comments

  • If I was them I wouldn't even acknowledge GOTG tbh

  • I don't think they even know GotG game exists.

Chandler Riggs who played Carl in the TV show once had a playthrough of TWD season 1 episode 1 on youtube but i think he closed his account and deleted the videos.

Dude... NO ONE talks about the Guardians game. No one.
In fact, I highly doubt Telltale knows the game even exists or this conversation has ever occurred at Telltale:

Director: "Hey, so what do we do about the Soundtrack to the Stranger Things game? Should it be licensed?"

Composer: "Hey, yeah! The Guardians' soundtrack got lot of praise so I think we can nail this one too."

Director: "Great! I'll start listening to that soundtrack to come up with ideas of my own..."

I don't know how the development works or who's involved for the soundtrack so this is probably totally wrong

I don't know, you can always ask Caroline to see if she knows anything about it...

    No wait don't that's a terrible idea

  • Here, let me twist the knife further. This is how it really went:

Director: "Hey, so what do we do about the Soundtrack to the Stranger Things game? Should it be licensed?"

Composer: "Hey, yeah! The Tales From The Borderlands soundtrack got lot of praise so I think we can nail this one too."

Director: "Great! I'll start listening to that soundtrack to come up with ideas of my own..."

but yeah Guardians was a decent game but imo it leaned too heavy on the lore of the movies without putting enough of it's own twist to deserve to be spotlighted as it's own thing unfortunately

Out of all the corners and crevices of the universe, out of every possible divergence in the space time continuum, cosmic forces and supernatural entities so fantastical and extraordinary that it shatters all belief and comprehension are clashing over the fate of mankind behind the backdrop of our mundane reality, fighting for control over the strings of destiny we were led to believe were ours alone, and they have brought us here~

So yes, why is Telltale? ?

    idk games are fun

  • May I ask: what exactly was wrong with Telltale's GoTG beyond the graphics/textures?

  • It's not a bad game,but it's not a good game either,it's just..mediocre.

The first two episodes are pretty bad imo

Hit or miss comedy (very cringe when it misses)

And the story is..unoriginal,it's like the game is trying too hard to be like the movies instead of doing it's own thing.
