Yes, any situation in which Clem doesn't blindly follow some guy she met 3 days ago results in Gabe tragically surviving. The only time he dies is when she agrees to follow Xavier, not because of any interactions you had with Clem, as long as you make the right choices in the Clementine flashbacks she'll be loyal or separate regardless of how terribly you treat her.

Sarah was always better than Gabe, she would never throw Clem under the bus. Gabe was never useful, Ben at least apologized for his actions and Sarah never meant to cause trouble.
Yes she would!!! You didn't see how big of a daddy's girl she was? You couldn't even give Carlos a purple nurple without Sarah shouting Clementine's exact coordinates along with her 20 last known locations.
She gave Clementine peroxide for her scar. SMH

Sarah would never rat Clementine out for actually saving her life, that's what Javier did for Gabe, shoot the maniac that pointed a gun at him, then later, Gabe rats him out for doing what HE (Gabe) told Javier to do.
Carlos turned his head to ask clem to calm her down, which drew the attention of the shooter. Whether the shooter thought it was someone escaping or just a big walker, who knows.
You don't know that. Carver's men were shooting everywhere, anyone in the herd could have died at any second. If they did spot them, then why didn't they kill Bonnie who was shooting her AK after Carlos getting killed?

Uh, you do realize that a. Tavia's men were doing that when they came out, b. they turned their attention on their side a little after Jane betrayed Troy, and c. they likely couldn't hear the group over the herd and their own gunshots, let alone Carlos or Sarah's hushed tones?

Is it good or sad that it actually makes more sense for her to go after Gabe and David by herself than either of the alternatives?

According to the Bossman, you have to explicitly be bitten by a walker in order for the infection to take proper effect.
Whatever people say about Gabe, I feel like he had a good decent amount of character development through the season. He does revert back to being a whiny bitch, when he rats out Javi though.

Gabe is the type of person who is really difficult to deal with. No matter what you do, he is the type that will never be satisfied and whines about it.
I don't remember how it went, I think during the game,
when Conrad held a Gabe at gun point, during the part where he heard Clem was part of ANF. When you agree with Conrad, he get mad at you for not helping Clem. When you shoot Conrad for saving his life, he gets mad at you for killing Conrad. During my 2nd game play, both him and David died and, Clem did not kiss him. For my 1st, David died and he survived. No, Clem did not kiss him either.
This kid was probably dropped on the head too many times or his chromosome is on backwards. lol
yah the same thing happened with david. even if you keep agreeing with him and rejecting kate he always turns on you. rly not a lot of choices mattered in ANF.

ANF is the only season I can't remember too much about it, even though, I just finished playing for the 2nd time, less that a month ago. So he turns on you for rejecting Kate. That boy got problems. Sounds like Mariana might be the better character, if they didn't kill her, she could be just as awesome as Clem, the same goes for Sarah, and Duck.

Went after David and Gabe, while Clem went with Kate or somewhere else, can't remember.
David died, Gabe survived. and Kate went missing.
2nd time
1. Accepted Kate
2. Did not fight with David
3. Went after David and Gabe, Clem came along too
4. Gabe survived, David went missing, and Kate turned into a Walker
From a saved check point
Did the same thing as 2nd time, but went with Kate and Clem came too. Both David and Gabe died. Kate survived.

All that matters is what you do in the episodes 1-3 flashback, those determine whether Clem follows you or not. Not sure which ending Kate goes missing in, but sticking together determines who survives. If you stick together and both go for Gabe, David and Gabe survive. If you split up and only you or Clem go after Gabe, I believe Kate will live and Gabe will survive. I think Kate goes missing when you leave Clem with her and go after Gabe yourself.

Damn straight.
That goes for a lot of characters, but Gabe is one of the bigger examples both in concept and in actual [poor] practice.

Oh, fan-fuckin-tastic.
So what makes her go after Gabe then?

Actually, he can survive if Javi and Clem save him, or if Javi goes to Kate, and I believeif just Javi goes to Gabe he also survives.

Actually, my Javier went with Kate and Clementine went after David and Gabe. I had both Gabe and Kate survive.
Yes, I had Javier go with Kate and Clementine after David and Gabe. Only David died.
There's three ways to have Gabe alive! Done.
Really is a shame that the only consistent character dies in most of the possible outcomes.
How did Clem not get infected by kissing an infected boi
Well it's already been established that everyone is infected. You have to die first in order to be reanimated.
I've been considering going back so that Kate isn't missing as it should've been myself.
The general fatality is this: David 75%, Kate 50%(debatable), and Gabe 25%, based on whether you split up and/or saved New Richmond.
Is it good or sad that it actually makes more sense for her to go after Gabe and David by herself than either of the alternatives?

Lucky you. What choices did you make?

SMH, how the fuck did Sarah get her father killed in the first place? How can you be so stupid? She didn't shoot Carlos, Carver's men did.
Yes she would!!! You didn't see how big of a daddy's girl she was? You couldn't even give Carlos a purple nurple without Sarah shouting Clementine's exact coordinates along with her 20 last known locations.
Sorry, I don't speak cop.
I'm saying Clem could be on the lam, and it would only take giving Carlos a dirty look for Sarah to rat her out.

Those things technically apply to Gabe as well, you know.

Gosh, I don’t know, because she was killing the same walkers that were about to breach Howe’s? She’s doing them a favor at that point.
I never said anything about them hearing carlos or sarah, only noticing them visually

Hm.
I mean, in the original plan, that was indeed seemingly explicit, but the version we got is a little selective about that.
Honestly, depending on how you play, her going to save Gabe instead of helping Javier either kinda makes sense, or is the only thing that makes sense.

Ah.
So, sorta or pretty much.
