Was this why they weren't selling single episodes of the final season?
Did they need money so badly that they put us in the position that we had to buy the whole thing at once so they could get the money to scrape by? Cause if this shit is true, there are potential millions about to be lost in order to refund everyone who won't be getting what we payed for.
Also, if this whole situation is true, you deserve it TT for your late releases, Twd s3, not making a second Tales from the borderlands, pushing minecraft so much, and not giving your fans the games they wanted like the next Wolf Among Us that people have been asking for for years, and instead got 20 minecraft episodes.

Yes this is most likely why they wanted all the money upfront. Once they file for bankruptcy they probably won’t even give out refunds. This is a great example of how to be a scum of the earth.
Millions to be lost?
No. They didn’t make that much with TFS. Dont think they’ve made that much in a while. Their games haven’t been selling.
People still aren’t getting refunds tho. Y’all are SOL
TELLTALE GAMES IS UNFAIR
THE UPPER MANAGEMENT IS IN THERE
STANDING AT THE CONCESSION PLOTTING THEIR OPRESSION
At 15-20 bucks for the whole season, depending on whatever currency you're using, if they convinced a couple hundred thousand people to throw their money at them, then that's a few million.
But if people have had enough of TT at this point and couldn't even get 100k of us to buy the last season, then I guess they deserve to be so fucked. I'm just real salty that I'm one of the suckers who did.
They didn’t sell that much. They haven’t been selling enough for a long time. Tales made 800,000 units and that still wasn’t enough for telltale to be satisfied. Meanwhile guardians sold only like 9,000 in the beginning and didn’t even reach a total players peak of 1,000.
I’ve been pretty much chanting not to buy the season cause it was gonna be a train wreck. I’ve been chanting all of this shit that’s happening but ppl found it easier to just say I’m the Telltale hater lol. Anyone who predicted this got shut down and told to shut up.
But yea, I can 100% confirm the rest of the season ain’t happening and you’re likely out of your $20. Bummer.
I knew telltale was in a bad spot, I just didn't think they'd go under while the season was still being developed, this is disgusting.
The sales numbers I saw say TFS sold about 100,000 copies. At dollars 20 each, that's 2 million dollars, but they didn't get 20 each for them. Most copies were bought on sale; mine was 18 dollars, plus part of the money goes to the distributors, like Steam, so in reality TTG pulled in a good deal less than 2 million, maybe 1.5, but that's ultimately a guess. All I can say for certain is if they sold 100k copies, they pulled in less than 2 million dollars in sales.
The former CEO had such a hardon for quantity over quality that he fucked their rep so hard that far too few people were willing to buy their games. Outside of The Walking Dead series, I haven't purchased a TellTale game since Game of Thrones. That game was so bad, the release schedule so unpredictable, and left such a sour taste in my mouth, as the saying goes, that I never bought another game from the company other than TWD which I was firmly invested in, and Season 3 of TWD did nothing to redeem the company in my eyes so I continued to not buy anything they made. TFS seemed to be on track to redeem the company. The new CEO seemed to putting the company back on track, emphasizing quality over quantity, like it was in old days of TWD Season 1 and Tales from the Borderlands. I was being won back as a customer, then this happened.
