I think it would have been better if Telltale..
Never wasted their time with Minecraft Story Mode (Both seasons or just Season 2 because it came out quicker than it should) and Guardians of the Galaxy (It's average at the best, no wonder it flopped at sales).
They put too much money on them, Clementine is the main reason Telltale became a huge thing in the first place and they'll probably never finish her story.
Gordon Freeman would say "Hold my beer. I'm not the only game protagonist without a story conclusion".
I dunno, just my thoughts.

I agree and disagree, cuz minecraft did make some money, unfortunately not enough to save the company... But you're right, they should have used that time to make more TWD ;p
Kevin Bruner was too ambitious and spent way too much money acquiring rights to big IPs and big-time voice actors and actresses like Troy Baker and Laura Bailey. I think it’s safe to say that eventually led to the company imploding.
While I did like Guardians of the Galaxy and how much it focused on the Guardians’ familial relationships, after learning it sold horribly (along with other beloved series), I think it was a mistake to make.
Personally, I think after the success and recognition Telltale received with TWD Season 1 and TWAU, they should have created an original IP. All eyes were on them, and if they made their own proper series or other type of game that they could make synonymous with their name, I think it would have helped in developing an "original" reputation with entirely original creations.
The reason they spent so much time on Minecraft is that, other than the walking dead season 1, it was the only game that actually made a profit. I would prefer they make ten Minecraft Story modes if it kept them from shutting down.
Guardians, maybe, as I'm not entirely sure when and why that came out(though the same could be said for most of Telltale games) and all I've heard and occasionally seen of it doesn't look too appealing.
Minecraft, on the otherhand, is apparently still a big deal and was supposedly an actual success for them, thus it probably still would've been valuable enough for them to do.
Batman apparently underperforming is a legit surprise to me, though, as people and commercials talking about how surprisingly good it is is why I eventually decided to get Season 1.
Yeah, I was wondering about that.
Like, why put so much faith on something as wearing in the long term and shlocky at the source as the Walking Dead?
This whole Minecraft/Netflix thing is going to be a huge flop. Like I really don't see what Netflix & Telltale are trying to achieve here...
Well, when all the kids put on Netflix, they'll see Minecraft and they'll click. Then they'll be amazed by how there is a video-game interactive story with episodes. So yeah, I think it'll be successful.
A lot of kids have Netflix?
No, families in general do. And families more often than not have children who are interested in titles like Minecraft, Fortnite etc.
Fair enough. ? I still don't think a large part of Telltale's fan base are going to buy it though. Like you said probably just families with kids.
I believe you don't need to buy it. Didn't play Minecraft Story Mode yet? Here's how to play it for free.
1. Need good internet (I was wondering how this works, does it just start buffering if you have bad internet? Netflix is a streaming service after all)
2. Get Netflix free trial if you haven't already
3. Play all 5 episodes!
Thanks for the insight. Is it worth playing?
Yes, it is worth it. Despite it being intended for slightly younger audiences, it's still enjoyable and is nowhere near as bad as ANF. The story makes sense for the most part and you'll have fun making choices, even though not all of them matter but who cares it's like that in every Telltale game.
They should've continued Sam & Max, BTTF and other games like that. Only new games I really liked were Guardians of the Galaxy and Batman.
Yeah, instead of making half a dozen games at once, they’d have been better off doing one game with 3-4 times the effort and size put in. They could’ve truly made branching stories and choices matter more like that, and probably would be in a better position right now.
