She lost 2 guys and a horse, and captured 3 kids, it wasn’t a complete loss.
Probably acknowledge that that means the school must've been particularly fierce and that that means the few she did get are still pretty tough themselves.
But she was supposed to take all the kids that lived in the school that was her mission there for she failed
The term Pyrrhic Victory comes to mind. But is agravated but the fact she let Abel be captured: Not only losing a valuable member of the group but potentially endangering everyone else if Abel speaks (and Oh boi, we will make him speak >:D )
She can make an excuse where walkers ambushed them, no one else on her team wants to look like imbeciles so they’ll just go along with it.
