Chuck, no question about that. Dude has always been one of my favorite characters, but the way they rushed his death was just so terrible. His only purpose was to get Lee to start teaching Clem, and even then, the writers could have just had Lee realize that on his own after what happened to Duck.
Not really, Chuck fit in quite well and he had no interest in becoming the leader or any of that matter. Having Chuck around wouldn't have affected Lee's role in the group at all if anything it would've helped him to have a clear minded individual in the group who could help keep the group stable.
I think they got rid of Chuck exactly for the reasons you mention.
As the player we needed Lee to be the rational thinking leader of the g… moreroup and Clem's mentor. If they had kept Chuck around it would have diminished Lee's role in the group and his role as Clem's teacher.
He was still a wasted character regardless of how he died. He was introduced in the latter part of EP3 only to be killed off within 5 minutes offscreen. They had such a great character in Chuck who would've been a well balanced component of a otherwise dysfunctional mess of a group.
To your point about Max, he determinately gets killed in ANF. That and its also worth noting Telltale basically forgot about several determinant characters in ANF.
Excactly! You're agreeing with me. So your problem is his death. Seriously? Just because a death is on-screen doesn't mean it's executed bad… morely. I feel as though Chuck's death fit his charqacter very well. He managed to escpape but it didn't work out in the end. I was very sad for one day because of this: in fact Duck and Chuck are the only deaths that made me cry. You don't need to have a close relationship with someone and then see them die with you. Not every death needs to be a Carl death. There was nothing wrong with Chuck's storyline. Think about Max, we don't even know what happened to him after Ep3.
-Carley (she+Clem+Lee=Happy family, for an happy Zombie Apocalypse)
-Larry (a beast, living more time he could've been something like HAGGAR from Final Fight in the other seasons. Punches to zombies like a modern Bud Spencer. "CHAFF" "PEOWWW" BAMM")
-Leland from 400days (seems a cool guy)
