Are those prints limited? I would like to have it shipped with the season DVD and eventually any other merchandising, to pay just one shipment.. If those are limited, could I just buy and pay it and have it shipped later when the DVD comes out? Thanks.
I think all Telltale prints are limited. The Sam and Max Season One and Two prints(also by Purcell) are now sold out and haven't come back, and Telltale has more or less said they're likely not coming back. It took them awhile to sell out of both, though the Season Two print sold out faster than Season One. Both lasted more than a year though, I'm sure.

Ahhhh! I'm dry as a bone! Probably for the better, or TTG would have my entire university/car fund!

Im interested in the shipping part more than the price (will end up being like 30 bucks, but wth)

Yes i know, the shipping cost to Argentina its 14u$ Sad, but i think its true. Just go to the store and try to buy anything, before the last click to actually buy that stuff, the price of the shipping should appear.
I did it once, and if my memory doesnt fail me, it was 14u$

When i preordered tales of monkey island, the site said "Preorder now and you will get an hand-signed poster of Steve purcell". Is this one? Thanks and sorry for my bad english
  • edited September 2009
The preorder gift is the slipcase for the DVD with this design on it.
  • edited September 2009
I wonder if we'll be getting other stuff on the store too? I'd love a collection of Monkey Tat(tm)

No really, the equivelent of "case files" but Tales of Monkey Island would just be awesome!!!!

Plus the normal design (please)? I want both without ordering a second time ;)
  • edited September 2009
If you preordered, you will get the normal slipcase plus the exclusive Steve Purcell one, they confirmed that right back at preordering time :)

But now people can also get a poster-sized print of the Steve Purcell cover if they like.

If you didn't pre-order, you don't get a "slipcase" just the regular DVD case.

A slipcase is something that goes on the outside of the normal case.

I believe he meant the signed prints, not the regular ones, which I assume are limited, unless Steve has pledged his life to signing poster prints.

Yes, please let us know if the signed ones will be avaiable as well when the DVD is out!

I'm absolutely broke after just buying a PSP, the Beatles Rockband and the special edition of Halo ODST, but I still had to get this poster! Now I just need to find somewhere I can put it.

I've just made the purchase... :)

One signed copy will be winging its merry way over to the UK just for me. I was struggling to justify a reason for its purchase so in the end I just thought... what the hey, it's Monkey Island. When will I get another chance to buy a signed print?

I also debated whether or not to delay my order until the hard-copy of the game is released but ultimately couldn't risk the prints selling out before then.

And for any other members of this forum from the UK, the total price to pay including shipping for a signed print is £19.08. Go on... take the plunge.

It's a shame, it's so nicely painted but the scene is just kind of boring. Maybe it makes sense as a present to some kid i know. It would be cool if TOMI could look this way.

I would pay 40 for the original Monkey Island cover art poster signed by Steve Purcell.

    lol at the monkey!

I finally ordered mine... yesterday. One for me, one for a friend, both posters signed. I hope there's more MI stuff coming to TTG's store, I'd buy it all! ;)

Is it just me or is Elaine flying in that poster?

I can imagine Steve Purcell sittin' in some cabin wit' thousands o' prints o' th' art he made 'n jus' signin' away 'n prolly thinkin' "OK, so that's 200 signed, tons more t' go!"

I be glad I be nah famous enough t' require autographin' thin's, 'cause me signature changes every time I try t' do it! Arrrghhh...

if he signes 20 per minute, for 30 minutes, he ends up making, at 5$ a signature, 3000$.

hes making money out of you all. i dont feel pity. i feel envyous.

One of the benefits of living within an hours drive of the Telltale Games studio is the super fast shipping.
I received my signed poster today after it was mailed yesterday! It looks sooo schweet. I definitely need to eventually frame it.

I got my signed TMI poster today! Thanks a bunch, Telltale!
  • edited October 2009
So where on the poster does he sign it?
  • edited October 2009
There's actually a rather large white frame around the picture and he signs it on the bottom right corner of the poster - mostly on the white area.
  • edited October 2009
how much for a frame that size? no way am i hanging it unframed
  • edited October 2009
    I got two 18 x 24 at Wal Mart for $20ish.

Yeah, it very much depends on the store, the quality of the frame, and what they have in stock. Frames are something that, yes, you can always get in the right size...but it can cost you.

The last Telltale print I got is something I got at a good time. There was a sale on frames at a local store, I got mine for $10. The same size frame, similar style, could cost $40 to have specially made, or be in as wide an area as $20-35 in stock.

Picture frames exist in a weird economy of their own, rarely if ever conforming to conventional logic.

I pre-ordered tales too so I'll receive that cover art anyways, but I think I might order the poster too, and have it framed.
