    Basically me

  • Yeah, this is some real bull. Season 3 was actually really good. I'm sad now. :( After this, we can pretty much say goodbye to Jessica Jones and Punisher as well.

At least we got relatively closed ending this time, unlike with Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

  • That really really,fucking sucks.

  • I can understand with Luke Cage and Iron Fist but Daredevil? That was like not just the best Marvel TV show but also the best tv show ever. How can you cancel something that has been doing great so far?

  • but also the best tv show ever

well that's debatable, but yeah Daredevil was awesome.

I blame Disney,i think they want Daredevil on their new streaming platform or something but if that happens i'm afraid it won't be the same show anymore..

None of the marvel/netflix shows have been doing great recently. Viewership plummeted pretty hard over the last few seasons. Even Daredevil S3, which is great, has lost a lot of viewers compared to S2.

People think that it will continue on Disney+, but the producers already said that that is not going to happen, since Marvel's Television Division, which handles the defenders shows, and Marvel's Film Division, which handles the movies and the tv shows for Disney+, really can't stand each other. There are also a lot of contractional things that makes it pretty much impossible for the defenders to be continued on Disney+.

Jessica Jones and Punisher will be next as soon as their new seasons drop next year.

  • Yah it won't be "Kid-friendly" enough. They may make it like a live action version of the Incredibles. If that happens, Disney's season will be in a completely different universe than the Netflix seasons in my headcanon.

  • Hopefully they'll end up doing another Defenders. If only to tie up some of the loose ends.

  • Fucking Disney. I wish I could go back in time and punch that jew hating asshole out of existence.

I mean, it's not like Walt Disney travelled 50 years into the future to cancel Daredevil and the other Marvel Netflix shows before dying.

If you have to blame something you might as well blame Netflix since they're the ones who cancelled it.

  • Eh, there's a good number of reasons to punch him square in the face I didn't cover. But Disney, as a company, contributing to the excess of morons debuting their streaming services to take advantage of the market rather than dealing with established distributors is what ultimately led to Netflix abandoning it's marvel shows. They don't hold a demanding share like they do with Hulu.

  • No, what led to them canceling the shows is most likely Netflix (unfortunately) not really having a need for them anymore. Seriously, look at what Netflix has been doing as they push more and more of their original content. Essentially, I’d say it’s more likely that the shows were costing too much to produce than they were worth. Why keep producing the shows when the people watching them are also likely (note I said likely) watching their other original programming (House of Cards, OitNB, House on Haunted Hill, etc. etc). Disney+ most likely had the LEAST impact on the decision to cancel these shows, especially considering the higher ups even said months ago after Disney+ was announced that they and ONLY THEY (Netflix) decide when a show is cancelled

  • Considering the quite simple things you can find about the entire situation, both from now and from literally earlier this year on how those shows worked, yes. Disney+ was the least impacting reason for those shows to be cancelled
