Whose a better leader? Javier (A New Frontier) or Pete (Michonne mini series)

Which male leader do you think led and protected their group better? Javier in A New Frontier or Pete in "Michonne"

  • You know, one of the interesting distinctions is the fact that Javier is the first playable character that gets explicitly assigned as his group's leader for much of his story. Now, like the others, he wasn't that at the start, but his call to step up comes within the second episode. I'd say, from what we know of his overall personality and what we actually get to see, that Javier is actually one of the better leaders of this game series in terms of his ability to consider & aid his group member's perspectives as well as directing them within reason. Granted, said group consisted of his eager to prove himself nephew, his brother's trophy wife that has attachment issues, an irrational hillbilly with a natural smart mouth, a naively well-intentioned EMP, a jumpy bartender out for revenge, and if you wanna count her ANF!Clementine, but he did pretty well with them when he actually had the chance to.

I don't read the comics and still haven't watched the show, so I can't really comment much on Black Pete. From what we hear in the game, though, he definitely has an active urge to help other survivors and do things civilly; a positive trait that's unfortunately easy bait for the group to get screwed.

  • How many communities does Pete destroy over a weekend? This is important.

  • I should ignore/just observe this, but---
    Does a family's home count?

  • Hmmm.. I'll allow it.

  • Okay, so still debatably just one, especially considering he determinately may not have even been there long enough to have any say.
    So they're about even.

  • I'll give you that if we consider Javier surrendering himself should have been his execution. Considering Richmonds strength I'm not sure why they didn't just hand him and ANF!Clem off. Unfortunately they don't, he ends up getting the entire settlement wiped because he's kinda retarded, his girlfriend/sister-in-law/wtf ends up flooding an entirely new community with walkers because damn, no one learned to keep her out of heavy equipment after episode 1. He incidentally destroyed two communities.

  • ...Wait, what?

Tripp didn't wanna go through with it because he felt Badger couldn't be trusted anyway.
Admittedly, I got the cut alternative on the brain, so there might be a bit of mix up there, but that was the general vibe.

Not really? Like, are you talking about if he opens fire specifically?

To be fair, that wasn't really on her or especially him, though. Jagger/that one New Frontier member could've picked a better way/time to attack the truck if he really had to.
And New Richmond was indeed saved in the end.

  • Pete was all about peace and helping people. Javi was all about.... what the fuck ever I guess.
