Choosing a laptop...

edited September 2009 in General Chat
Good evening all

I'm trying to help someone choose a laptop but they have a spending limit of £350 which makes things a little difficult. They're not going to use it for anything too demanding and the only games they play are Championship Manager 5, Fifa Manager 06 and International Cricket Captain but I guess they may one day get the newest versions of those games.

I'm looking at THIS ONE but it doesn't include a graphics card, just the rubbish integrated card. How important would you say a dedicated graphics processor is for those games?

Also, how difficult would a graphics chip/card be to install at a later date? I've done plenty inside desktop computers but never a laptop, although I have removed and replaced a hard disk and RAM in a laptop with no problems.

Thanks!

Intel video cards are absolutely awful for anything. I recommend at least finding one with a low end Geforce video card.

Thought as much, thanks for that! I'm going to try and suggest they increase their budget to £400 if possible so they can get an ATI 512mb card in there.

I like them simply because they're cool, I can't see myself using one for anything substantial, though.
