Was Lilly/Minerva telling the truth?

During that scene when Lilly made Minnie admit to killing her own sister. Do you think Minnie actually did it? I could be completely wrong, but it felt like it was test of Minnie's loyalty to Lilly, to see if she would admit to something so horrible that she didn't do.

Also, Minnie was really upset almost as if she couldn't bring herself to admit it. Why would she already agree to leave with her sister and then kill her? She was also upset during "the parable of the twins story" like she didn't believe a word Lilly was saying. And then she said "don't you look at me like that" well, no shit, you killed your sister. But what if she didn't? Lilly did. And blamed it on Minnie.

I don't trust a fucking word Lilly says. What do you peeps think?

  • They were definitely telling the truth, after how Minnie acted, I'm not surprised that she would kill her sister. We already saw her devotion to Lilly and her new group. She calls them "your people" or "your school" in regards to Clem and Ericson throughout the episode, I see no reason why she would be lying about this.

  • It was mostly true. I’m not convinced Minnie killed Sophie as if she needed to cleanse herself. She was obviously forced into doing so. Even so, she’s not getting another chance from me. If she crosses me again, unfortunately she’s gonna have to die

  • The writing digested itself in the third act and these two were in the longest.

It doesn't matter. The answer is obvious, though.
