The reason clem survived the bite so long

I feel the only reason she survived long enough to not succumb is because of the wound that Minerva did with the axe as since the bite was below the cut and since she’s bleeding out from the open wound it’s likely the infection didn’t spread up the leg as quick cause off most of the infected blood pouring out of her leg and the reason she was pale was not cause of the bite but from the blood loss and also people say lee died from the bite regardless I feel that’s not true I feel he either dies from the infection if you keep your arm or you die of blood loss if you cut it off.
