Looking for Wii games

edited September 2009 in General Chat
Hey everyone. I have just beaten Sonic Unleashed and after that I have been hooked up on the wii. And now I am looking for some good games to play on the wii, of numerous titles I need some suggestions on what to get. Now I am looking for E, T, and of course M rated games. Are they good games for the wii?

If you haven't played Tales of Symphonia for gamecube yet, you MUST! It's one of the greatest games ever made. Get this: an RPG with GOOD combat.

"Boom Blox"! I love and adore it. The sequel, which I haven't played yet, also seems worth a look.

    Metroid Prime Trilogy.

    Also, Homebrew.

House of the Dead: Overkill is a great light-gun game, but it can be a little much. Small doses are recommended.

I'd also suggest the Lego games, but they can get a bit samey after a while. The real entertainment comes from the cutscenes, rather then the gameplay.

No More Heroes is great fun, if a tad repetitive, Zelda:TP is also great fun, if the wrong way round, and Okami's good, but not as good as the PS2 version.

But yeah, give those a go. And I'm glad to see someone else enjoying Sonic Unleashed!

    Zack and Wiki
    Punch Out!!
Starfox 64, Paper Mario and Super Mario World if we're counting VC.
Also, try hunting down copies of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, LoZ: Wind Waker and maybe Starfox Adventures (Others will disagree with me on the last one)

If we're counting VC, then we can count Wiiware and include Contra Rebirth, Gradius Rebirth, and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years :D

Oh and if we're recommending Gamecube games too, I had a lot of fun with Geist.

    Hm. My favorite Wii games...

Wario Land: Shake It!: One of the best on the system.

Endless Ocean: I'm surprised at how much fun I had with this one, and how much there was to do. You'd think it was just basically a diving sim, and it is heavily rooted in this, but it's also a good game with plenty of goals and things to do. It also looks really good, and I'd say it's worth playing.

Boom Blox: Has an odd visceral allure. It's pure gameplay, gaming brought down to its basest and most core values. And it works!

Sonic and the Secret Rings: Despite its somewhat annoying theme and less-than-stellar voice acting for the somewhat less-than-animated cutscenes(made up of still images floating around to give a "storybook" feel), the actual gameplay is top-notch and perfect for a Sonic the Hedgehog game. No gimmicky sidekicks in sight!

There are a few Japanese games I'd recommend if they were over here(Tomena Sanner/Pole's Big Adventure/Captain Rainbow/etc), but they're not.

Starfox Adventures (Others will disagree with me on the last one)
Very much disagree. One of the most lacklustre games I've ever played. It's not bad, but there's just... nothing special about it whatsoever. Everything about it is just bland.

There are far, far better games out there. Please don't get this one.

    Super Mario Galaxy
    Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
    Mario Kart Wii
    Manhunt 2
    Another Code R
And Tomb Raider Anniversary is AWESOME on the Wii!!

And because ALL adventure games should be playable on a big telly on the couch:
    SBCG4AP
    Sam & Max Season
    Tales Of Monkey Island
    Broken Sword Director's Cut

Oh, and Sonic & The Black Knight hasn't been mentioned yet, I don't know if it's any good, but if you like Sonic...

no more heroes broke my heart it was so bad.. could have been so great.. but failed so poorly

    zack and wiki for sure
    boom blocks yes
if you want to relax, endless ocean, and put ENYA or something on the sd card .. pet fish and sleeeepp

new metroid i vote for.. esp with new controls and inteface for the other 2.. but if you owned 3 already and owned 1 and 2 .. you wont see much reason to get the trilogy unless you are mental.. like myself

    rpgish you have like
tales of symphonia (not as good as the GC version)
    or like Rune factory

im praying for a dark cloud 3 sometime.. or katamri wii

Honestly? it was the first Wii game I played so maybe I look fondly on it for that but I really enjoyed my time with it, smart, sexy and stylish as with a biting satire. Gameplay flaws all over but it's still fun

game was to confining.. it masked itself as non linear and it wasnt..

game attempted to be as free roam as gta vice and failed...

graphics are sub par and wii mote didnt work properly during say.. mowing lawns.. or baseball

side missions had to be repeated like 90000 times.. how many coconuts can you carry before tossing a game out.. how many lawns mowed or baseballs hit..

zzz im getting tired talking about it.

this game HAS potential.. but.. until they fix the repititious nature and the poor control scheme this game should only be bought or played if its free or low cost.. 5-10 bux..

also the game is super short..

    periodoo

never did i have fun in the game..well not after the first 2 hrs anyway.. fun for 2.. then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
