Some questions about activation

Hello,

I have a couple of questions. I've ordered the 6 episodes package of the game.

Now I have following questions:
1.) How often can I activate the game? If I have to re-install it, or system crashes and so on. or the hardware fingerprint changes, if I change components?!
2.) On how many computers am I allowed to install it? I tried to install it also on my second pc (notebook) but it changed the hardware fingerprint, so I can't activate it.

How will this work with future episodes?

Edit:
Furthermore I figured out that "Your Purchased Games" tells me following: You haven't purchased any games! Below this is my order: Sam & Max Season 1 Collection. Does this mean, it isn't fully completed?

I've got exactly the same questions. And I even share the situation that my copy seems to have auto-activated on the PC I've downloaded in on, but instead would like to play on my Laptop.

Maybe that order will be finished when all 6 Episodes are released...

What i learned so far by Postings on this Board is that your copy can be activated up to 5 times. So basically you could run it on 5 different comps, although its not meant for that. ;)

If you run out of activations try to contact the support, i´m sure they handle something out.

5 times should be enough until May when one can get the boxed copy (which I expects I can install 153 times if I want to).

If you run out of activations for some reason, just let us know. The idea is that anyone who buys the game owns a license to it and we want you to be able to activate it wherever you want to, but we don't want people pirating the game either, so we have some limits in place and people need to contact us if they run out of activations.

Don't worry too much about the "My purchased games" area. We're still straightening out how that works.

Well, I'm a very unhappy camper at the moment and am seriously thinking about asking for a refund for the remaining episodes. I bought all 6 episodes and can't play without being connected to the internet. I was given no warning that I would have to play thru Gametap, essentially on the internet. But now I hear that you are supposed to be able to play offline. Apparently, I'm not the only one who is having this problem. If so, then by now, there should have been some warning about this up front such as in the email you people send initially with instructions what to do if it happens. Sorry, but it seems to me that in your quest to safeguard against pirating, you haven't given adequate attention to people being able to play the game.

Please give me some specific information how to go about being able to play offline.

You can absolutely play the game offline, if you bought it from us. You only have to be online for the initial activation.

If you're a Gametap subscriber, though, you'll have to be online to use their service. I'm a little confused about which route you took in purchasing, can you clarify?

    Hi SirDave,

I saw your post on GameBoomers. To activate the game on an offline computer, you just need to click on Activation Support and follow the instructions to get a manual activation key. I'm not sure if you've already gone through our support email for this, but if you're waiting on an activation key, send me a PM and I'll get it to you asap.

Sorry about the confusion. It's not a perfect system, but we're doing our best. ;)
