ToMI episode 2 freeze after start new game

I can get it to go to the menu but after I go to start a new game, it freezes on the loading screen.

(I'm running it on windows 7 if that has anything to do with it)

    If it's consistently freezing in the same spot, you most likely just have a data problem. Clearing your temporary internet files and redownloading might solve it for you.

    If that doesn't work, you might want to check for more recent video drivers and directx updates. Also try turning the in game graphics quality down.

    I have done all of that, I even turned the graphics down, the res down to its lowest and dropped it out of full screen which makes it respond better. It still freezes right after it starts loading when you click new game.
