Ima be honest fellas, I don't trust this to be good after waiting such a long time. So uh, I hope you'll prove me wrong, Telltale.

  • From what I can see in the trailer, that mundie detective, tin man, it doesn't look like the story changed much from when Adhoc was involved.

Steam page is up and there's something very interesting listed.
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/3884860/The_Wolf_Among_Us_Remastered/

Bonus Content and Behind-the-Scenes Material. Go behind the scenes with developer commentary, concept art, interviews, restored content, and other archival materials exploring the making of The Wolf Among Us.

Restored content, eh? From what we know of the files, some incomplete scenes were several related to the cut Brannigan plotline as well as the office hub during the finale that acted as a final wrap-up to the side characters. Interesting.

Also, damn, they really have slightly shifted the designs and textures of some characters.

Oh, now here's the page for the second game.
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1884870/The_Wolf_Among_Us_2/

The Wolf Among Us 2 returns players to Fabletown in a dark neon-noir thriller that expands the acclaimed series in bold and ambitious new ways.

Return to the role of Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, as a deadly conspiracy tears apart the precarious peace among the exiled Fables. Betrayed, framed, and exiled, Bigby must work from the shadows to save a city consumed by corruption, vengeance, and fear.

The Oz Gang rises in power. Ancient forces manipulate events from the shadows. Allies become liabilities. Will the monster within threaten to destroy everything he's trying to protect? Or be the key to its salvation?

Investigate crimes, interrogate suspects, explore a fractured Fabletown, and survive intense cinematic combat as your choices shape the future of the city and determine whether Bigby’s legacy becomes one of redemption or ruin.

  • It's some added detail and higher resolution while keeping up the same visual style of the original game. I think this is probably the best way they could have done it without going overboard.

  • If they are restoring content I think its actually very likely going to be the cut business office from ep 5. It was so, so close to being complete. I doubt they'd re-add Brannigan stuff unless the restored stuff is separated in extras because that changes too much of the story and it probably doesn't make sense to focus more on a dropped plotline. The office scene could 100% be added back and only add to the game.

I'd agree with that, especially since they could use that office scene for any sneaky setup they want to do for Wolf 2, if they so desired.

I'm looking at the screenshots of the Wolf 1 Remaster on the Steam store page, and it looks like it's not just character models and textures being touched up, but also, that they are adding new background/model details. Like, if you compare the Trip Trap shot with Grendel - there are misc. small new details. There are beer bottles on the shelves, the TVs look more detailed, etc. This doesn't look like they are just doing generic upscaling of textures and calling it a day.

Mr. Toad and Grendel's models look notably touched up, and Bigby's hair looks more detailed.

  • The office scene could 100% be added back and only add to the game.

What was the cut office scene? :0

  • Good find! Also noticed the business office actually looks a lot better. Comparing the screenshots to the original, I think a lot of the environments look better, but idk I think some of the character textures look kind of strange to me, like adding extra detail that it didn't really need and makes it look too busy.

I didn't expect to see this when i woke up this morning lol, i had almost given up hope of ever seeing it. From the trailer it looks like it could be pretty good.

  • YOOO Finally a good reason to come back to this site (JK you're all still cool)

    We're so back, maybe?? 🥹

(Inb4 its revealed this is yet another Deck Nine game and Telltale just published it under their name 😭)

    We are so back.

    Hello again people.

I wanted to post a meme but i forgot how to do it on this godforsaken website.

It's good to know telltale is still around no other company comes close to their writing when it comes to choice-based narrative games in my opinion.

Seeing how popular Dispatch was recently when it barely had any gameplay and choices that mattered made me sad to see the actual state of narrative games i really did not like Dispatch.

Also it's good to see some familiar faces here again,i thought the trailer was really good i'm hyped again.

I guess the remaster makes sense it might be worth buying if it adds some scenes that were cut.

Here's hoping it won't come out too late in 2027.

  • Daddy Telltales coming back with the m̶i̶l̶k̶ Wolf 2 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰

  • Finally, i mean finally some real deal. I almost forgot about it and moved on, today i saw this on Instagram and told myself, hell yeah!
Hope this time they don't cock it up and we see this sequel in 2027

  • Funny thing i've noticed they actually made 2 versions of the remaster trailer one for the show with Bigby saying "looking for me" and another one online that they posted i think with Bigby at the end going full metal gear solid saying "Hope i didn't keep you waiting".

    Absolute Cinema.

  • The 2023 logo got a remaster before we got a remaster of the original game

So I went and screenshot the same scenes from original game to compare them with the samples shots we have of the remaster.

Everyone's characters models and hair look a lot smoother, the saturation's turned up a bit, texture's are higher res, there's more clutter, etc. Grendel's actually looking Bigby in the eyes. The mayor's office actually looks less empty now with the added details. Toad has the biggest change so far with him having an entirely different face to look less cartoony. Also now that I look at it I'm pretty sure that spartan statue in the office in the original was a flat texture lol. It's an actual model this time around.

  • In the last picture The Woodsman's head in the remaster is missing something..already caught a glitch before the remaster came out 💀

While we wait for the holidays to play the remaster let us never forget Biggy the Doggo

  • I made a video featuring all the trailers until the new one it's been a long road..

  • Let's hope there won't be more delays and that they are sure it's ready for the 2027 release.

  • Idk remastering a game like Wolf seems so pointless...there's barely any difference?? Like very minor things, yes, but nothing that necessitates a graphical overhaul. Seems like a cheap way to trick people into buying the same game again! But at least it doesn't make the game look worse, like The Walking Dead Definitive Edition.

This guy played a demo of TWAU2 and it had some interesting details. The section was the latter half of the first episode.

    1. More gameplay sections where you solve puzzles and find clues
    2. Camera is fully 3D 360 degrees, like TFS of TWD
    3. If you're struggling to solve a puzzle you can get hints or auto solve it
    4. Many of the old cast returns including Snow and will be voiced by the same actors
    5. Game takes place 6 months after the first
    6. The human detective is named Faye and you have a choice to reveal to her whether magic exists or not
    7. She contacts Bigby to help find a serial killer
    8. More interactions between Fables and humans
    9. Jared Emerson Johnson is scoring the game
  • More gameplay sections where you solve puzzles and find clues

Very happy to hear that they expanded on the exploration and puzzles! That was one of the things I really missed with the later Telltale games.

This is a really good video and very informative. I'm actually surprised they showed it already! Good news for sure because it does mean the game is far enough along it can actually be shown off to people lol. I hope they actually release the gameplay footage soon for everyone because its really my number 1 thing I want to see because it isn't cutscenes in a trailer and gives a better idea of "okay, how far in the development is this game and what is is actually like?"

This video has made me a lot more positive though. I really hope Wolf 2 pulls through!

Kindof weird to say I know but I’m glad I survived all the struggles I went through to be close to when Wolf 2 releases. Life has not been easy with my mental health and to still be alive when this mythical game is about to come out gives me a sense of satisfaction with how strong I’ve been through it.

Of course the game could theoretically still not come out but I’m pretty hopeful that it will come out this time.

  • Polygon did an interview with the games director, Zak Gariss.

The writer talked about playing the demo, with him having to decide whether or not to tell Faye the human that magic is real, and also reveal that Bigby had stolen a photo from the police station. He also talked about the bookshelf puzzle which is seen in the trailer. Gariss talked about the sequel having a darker story than the first game, drawing from his experience working on the production crew of the show Criminal Minds.

Bigby will be heading to Queens, New York to track down a Fable. However, the cat and mouse chase is flipped on Bigby as he becomes the one being hunted by someone who is able to trigger his wolf transformation from a distance. It also looks like our favourite detective will be put through the ringer this time around.

“One of the central questions our story asks — and this is definitely the darkest version of Fabletown players will have seen yet — is: What is a monster?” Garriss said. “What is it like for Bigby to have the legacy he has and carry the responsibilities he does? The things we do to him, the things that the characters will do to him… we love what we’re working on, but some days we feel really bad for Bigby.”
