TMI Episode 3 VMWare Fusion 2.0.5

I just downloaded TMI Episode 3, which, as the title of this post suggests, I am trying to run in VMWare Fusion 2.0.5 on my Macbook. I am allowing the Windows XP Professional VM to run 1 virtual processor and 1804MB of RAM, and the game seems to be stuttering an awful lot at the main menu.
I tried adjusting the resolution in the game settings (which took three or four minutes of slow and tedious mouse-play) and saw it was only set to 1024. I haven't had any problems running previous chapters; however, I am now using Snow Leopard and a fresh install of VMWare Fusion, but I don't think that's causing the problem here.
Any help would be appreciated.

had the same problem on my macbook pro. what fixed it, is to update vmware to the new 2.06 beta light. That fixed the very slow graphics, not it runs smooth like a pirate!
