Murray's Fate (spoilers)

The ending was bitter sweet obviously Murray ending up in another chest at the bottom of the ocean is a hilarious thing to happen, but on the other hand it bummed me out I refuse to believe that is the end for Murray, I want to see more...

I also wonder how he ended up in the first chest.... probably those pesky voodoo children again.

They could bring out a special chapter containing just of Murray´s "adventures" in the treasure chest; he has no problem talking to himself after all. :)

I would buy an all Murray episode..... TTG make it so.... please?

Murray: Escape from the depths of doom....

He could use his jaw bone to kind of hop around or just roll.

You forgot the crab. The crab moved a treasure chest in Chapter Two, it's pretty obvious it would drag Murray's Chest out of the water sooner or later. That crab tells you one thing - Murray would be back someday.

Oh yeah nice point..... All hail treasure crab!!!

It's the crab version of GT. "Snappyclaws Seaweed, Mighty Crab/Pirate/Thing!"

I think Treasure Crab is my new favorite new character... you all can keep Morgan.... Changing my user title to reflect this.

Monkey Island has always had great credits, from these, to the ones at the end of Monkey Island 1, to the graveyard scene in Monkey 3.

what would murray be like with the pox?
I don't think he can be MORE demonic.
maybe he would just form a body out of sheer voodo evil and reek havoc upon the world
  • edited October 2009
Bah. Murray scares the pox. No pox will ever fall upon his evil brow. Murray could slaughter herds of poxed men... Well... When he gets at least one arm back...

Anyone else think us Guybrush heads at the TTG forums should get a nod in the next credits?

As far as Tales is concerned, my impression of Murray this episode, was, well...
    Kinda a last hurrah.

I don't mean he's gone for good, but this was kinda THE Murray episode. I don't think he's coming back till MI6.

Though I'd be totally happy if I'm wrong, that's just the impression that I get.

Oh yes, how can Murray come back from being whacked into the ocean by Guybrush? He's never done that before!

In Chapter Two he appears when you dig the treasure and once more when you go back and talk to the two pirates.

In Chapter Three, he's after the credits - next to the treasure chest.

Treasure Crab is obviously a minion of some sinister underwater force. Beware King Crab and his army of lobsterfolk!

I bet he owes his life to the seagull.

"Listen here, see, you want protection from those other seagulls out there sonney? Yer gonna havt'a pay for that protection with a little bit of treasure."

    Protection money? Mobster seagulls? Lobsterfolk?

That crab might serve some importance and might help Murray return. One can only dream.

I want it. Can you print posters at Kinkos? Got to look that up. That is a brilliant picture.

I wouldn't mind if that was it for Murray in Tales, but it's not as if being a disembodied skull has stopped him from getting around before...

I'm fine if that's it for Murray, but I hope it isn't. I would love to see more of him, just a few cameos like the popups in MI3. Witness at Guybrush's trial perhaps?
