Tales of Monkey Island Demo?

Hello:

I love the Monkey Island series and I've just recently installed this game on my laptop to check out it. However, it is extremely laggy to the point where it's almost impossible to play it, which is making me weary of buying the actual game. I searched through the forums a bit but didn't find the answer to my question. Can anyone tell me why this might be happening?

    Can you try lowering the in game graphics quality setting? Knocking it down to 3 will probably solve it for you, but if it doesn't, just let us know and we can get a bit more thorough.
