Double Fine's new site... similarities abound!

Guys & Gals, does this design ring any bells in similarities to some uber-cool awesome company we all know of?

The design is fantastic with it's rustic feel but....

The navigation and pull downs are set up similarily. The login + search is similar. Instead of round borders and nicely checkered tiles behind the nav, there are ticket stubs... but they feel the same...

The design overall aesthetically is completely different, but the core elements that make it what it is feel remarkably similar to Telltale.

In no way is this a bad thing, as I think it's quite interesting to see what's the most effective way of displaying content.

I must say, I've been a fan of Telltale's website design for the longest time, and I think it's probably one of the most cleanest and malleable designs I've seen in a long time. I mean, how you guys manage to make a kick ass looking front page, blog, comics, forum, store, download manager is something definitely worth winning an award for.

Cheers to DF on their new design, and cheers to TT for (probably not) inspiring them.

I preferred the old DF design. News stories were easier to read, and you could just scroll down to read em all.

Gah 2 days until brutal legend.

Much agreed on news reading, hate the scrollbox method of showing stuff. That's so 2001.

    Jake saves the daaaay

Really I don't see much similarity at all between that site and TTG's site, if that's what Edgy is implying. Most of the similarities are just general trends in modern (obnoxious, Web 2.0) site design, with the only really notable match being the use of game logos instead of just text on the Games drop-down menu.

Are you implying TellTale's design is original? It is not.

Hmph! I'm pretty sure our site's layout is pretty original if you ask me.
