How about, there's really multiple Voodoo Ladies pretending that there's only one.

And they're all linked telepathically! That would explain how they're all equally familiar with Guybrush. I like this idea too for plausability but it wouldn't "shake the MI world to the core".

Ooohh I really really like the multiple voodoo ladies idea, they are all in a voodoo sisterhood or something.

...and they are all possessed by some hiden beeing.
  • edited October 2009
Oh no no no that would ruin the mystery behind the Voodoo Lady. Besides I don't want an "It was the Soda Poppers all along" kinda ending.

...could it be that...the Marquis De Singe's actual true identity is none other than Madame Morrible from "Wicked"?

...yeah, I know. Obscure reference is obscure. :P

...taken from the synopsis of EP4.

Who else is a little anxious about this revelation being one of the "Herman Toothrot is really Elaine's grandfather" - sort of revelation? Because I sure hope it isn't. I can't remember exactly, but there have been explanations why this relatedness does not work with regards to the prehistory of Monkey Island (the period of time before Guybrush actually makes his first appearance).

So far, Telltale is doing a great job with how the develop the plot, I just hope that there won't be any, let's call them "unclean twists" like the above mentioned in EMI. Anyone with me?

What's your guess? What will the world - rocking revelation be about?
Given the jumbled up order i played the games, (3(partly, i had borrowed it) then 4, then 3 ( i bought it)then 1) I had no idea who Herman was anyway.

Anyway, Maybe the voodoo lady is actually a man? Think of the consequences!

    It was all a dream.

Wait, how would that work as the second to last episode?
The third, fourth, and up to that point fifth game were all Guybrush's attempt to deny that he's just a little boy. Guybrush Threepwood will "die", in that the imaginary pirate will cease to exist. In the final episode, Rise of the Pirate God, we'll see this child lash out against his childish imaginary universe, laying it to waste, killing everyone and everything with the unlimited power he has over a universe that he created. Tearing the fragile fabric of the world's reality asunder, the pirate world is ripped away to reveal the dim, dreary world...the very one this boy was trying to hide from.

Or, you know, something that doesn't affect things quite so much. =p

There were a few sneaky suggestions in CMI dialogue pointing towards Guybrush being bisexual (or at least bi-curious).

In CMI, the two I remember are:
    • Guybrush (about Goodsoup): I don't indiscriminantly pick up bartenders
    • Guybrush (to Murray): so what you're saying is you only love me for my legs

There might be others too I've forgotten. Oh, wait...he whipped the Cabana Boy with a wet towel and when he called to him, it was in a gay suave way (am I allowed to say that?).
