Which series to buy?
I have recently got my own personal laptop, which i plan on filling with Telltale Goodness. I recently bought Tales of monkey Island (it's still cheaper buying it on PC, than buying the Remaining 3 episodes on wiiware, especially with the £5 discount) And i am looking to use my 50% series discount on one of the series.
The only one i currently own is Sam & Max season 1, which was quite good, but i didn't find it funny for the most part. Do i Have no soul? Quite possibly.
So, what should i get? Season two? Wallace and Gromit?

maybe try strongbad.. i have a free coupon you could use if youd like.
you didnt like any of the season 1 (funny wise?)
just looking at objects made me laugh .. until it just repeated EVERY episode..
which annoyed me in the end.
I got a few smiles from S&M, but nothing anywhere near the extent of Monkey Island. That could be down to the fact that what people claim was the funniest (Abe licoln must Die) was aimed mainly at americans. Given that i am from the UK, i just didn't find that all that funny. As for the other episodes, i'm sure i would have found them funny a few years ago, but i think i just outgrew the humour style.
I find W&G quite funny (on the TV) So is the humour similair to that?
I might think about strong bad. Isn't one of the episodes free anyways? Also, what's Bone like?
Edit: And season 2 is a lot funnier than season 1. I get what you are saying, season 1 missed more that it hit with the jokes but by season 2 they had a much better grasp of it.

I have 2 episodes of Strong Bad on Wii and it is very nerdy humor. If you like the online toons, you'll love the game.
When season two rolled around the company had grown, they had a much better idea what they could and couldn't do and the artists/animators/choreographers/artistic types in general made everything look even prettier. Season one is pretty amazing for a "first try", but season two is really where they hit their stride.
I'll take that coupon off your hands!
That's what I did, and the only one I regret was Strong Bad. I didn't find it funny.
i chuckeled a few times with the new MI, more as the season gets on... but nothing like SB or when I first saw COPS in sam n max.. i almost peed
how can you not find strong bad funny? do you know its a flash web thing.. have you seen those? if not you wont understand 90% of the game due to context reference.
as for the treasure hunt.. I don't understand.. i only have 3 treasures listed and every one is like wallpaper or something not an episode...
am i missing something?
friar if you are from the uk.. its a good possibility you wont find much that's American.. funny... we dont pander to other cultures sadly.. its true..
nor does your country though.. wallace and gromit never made me laugh on tv nor in episode.. this isnt to say I dont like them.
I just dont find them funny. Interesting, good, but not funny.
To .. PBS or childish.. just like bone for me.. love the characters but if they only went a bit further with the whole thing instead of how they did it.
felt like one kiddie advent for ages 6-10 only..
also if you even know who abe lincoln is.. abe lincoln must die shoulda been somewhat funny... it had nothing to do with usa imo.. minus the presidential such n such
EDIT to timsmyth4..
check the polls, i believe wallace and gromit are second to last in terms of people liking games.. sam n max first then SB ..
and we have heard of wallace and gromit over here for ages mate.. its just not funny.. sorta like, mr bean.. not funny... I LOVE rowin (adder and such) but nooo bean.. just bleh..
i gave wallace n gromit 2 thumbs down, as a game.. felt like a chore to play just wanted it over so I could do something else.
I love what I've played of Wallace and Gromit. I grew up with it, so I may be biased, but still, you can't help but love the sheer zaniness of the ending acts.
