When Guybrush thinks he's about to be executed

Just to say that in episode 4, when Guybrush thinks he's about to be executed, three midget pirates should come out and sing this to him:

:D

Note: If wondering where it's from, it's from the Bard's Tale video game 2004.

Bad news, Jake's been quoted as saying that a singing type of song seems out of place in ToMI.

Trust me, I wanted it as bad as you did.

i was thinking about a song in TOMI if it would fit without seeming forced. it would havto be similar to a pirate i was meant to be. where its more funny then anything. also the song remined me of the umpalumpas

    Man that song! Ridiculous.

The people singing in that track are Jared Emerson-Johnson and Clint Bajakian, who worked on the Bard's Tale soundtrack with Tommy Tallarico in 2004.

    "What?", what? :)

Are you saying you never said that, or are surprised that he "wanted it as bad" as the other poster?

If the latter, I assume he means singing in general (not that song).... and I would definitely be cool with a song along the lines of "A Pirate I Was Meant To Be". Truly a classic! Every time I play that game I keep that song going for as long as it will let me. :) Heck, I'd keep it going for another 10 minutes if I could. Yes, I'm easily amused.

Dunno if there's a place for a song in Tales. Not that I'd tell you if there was one, but I'm going to say now to not get your hopes up. Unless there is one.

If you haven't played Sam & Max Seasons One and Two yet, you're missing out on some song sweetness, though, I must say. Nearly every episode had a song with lyrics, in musical number form or otherwise.

Does that What? Mean there's hope?!

Curses! So many questions and very few answers.

    Is it Friday yet?

    Is it November yet?

The suspense is more than my ticker can take!!!!!

    Yaaaarrrrrrrrrr!

I knew there was a reason I loved that game so much. Apparently Michael Land and Peter McConnell were involved as well. :D

Isn't Jared Emerson Johnson the sound director or something at TTG?

I dont think I said a song would be inappropriate. There wasn't a place in the story as I knew it then for a song, and also I thought that a song would be unlikely this year in general. Was I right? Find it out.

I gotta admit that realistically I don't see room for a song at this point, but we could dream.

    However........

You read it here first folks.... there WILL be a second season of ToMI!

Am I reading too much into that? :D

I predict Dominic Armato singing "Come Sail Away" backed by the London Philharmonic over the end credits, only to have Elaine kill him before he can make the second chorus.

    What?

Hey it was just a small joke. Just something thought I'd put here as an idea.
But if anything like a song added can't be done, then it can't be done. :)

But just to add, you what is a good Bard's Tale song, The Tale of the Nuckelavee :D

Songs are what we NEED to get through these times of financial woe and Guybrushless Friday mornings in the UK.

I have to say, having now seen the fantastic singing numbers in Sam & Max, I'm really hoping they'll try something in ToMI. Piratey songs are the best ;)

I think a musical-style song in Club 41 between buybrush elaine and morgan as
    they all are fighting
    would be pretty funny.

Yeah I know. That was a feeble attempt at baiting him. For example, he might reply, "I never said there would be a second season" or "You never know".

The latter response would be much more promising IMO, but thus far he hasn't said anything. I am going to assume that means that he is sworn to secrecy on [reverb]the second season of Tales of Monkey Island[/reverb]. :D

There will be another Monkey Island. Even if I have to kidnap the entire cast and crew of TTG and lock them in my basement for a year and feed them pizza and coffee until it's done.

Ok, so I'm joking. I can't afford that much pizza. However my basement has a healthy grub population :)

So what your saying is your basement is infact no other than the innards of the manatee in Chapter Three?! Cooool! I'll be over soon, pour me an ichor!
