free monkey island game

so i got the launch of the screaming narwhal for free on talk like a pirate day. but whenever i try to play it, it won't work. it doesn't download that long list of files that make every little detail inside the game. anyone know whats wrong?

    I don't really know what you mean. Are you talking about the files the launcher downloads when you start it?
    Otherwise please give a more detailed description.

    Let's try a shot in the dark:
    - Make sure your Internet Explorer is up to date
    - Redownload the episode after deleting your browser cache

    I've never heard of that happening before.

    You could try creating a new user account and starting the game from there. If it works we can try to find out more.

    edit - no, i won't work. the game is already set to my original account. any other suggestions?

    I meant a Windows user account.

    i don't really know. something about my usb (which i was saving it on)
