ToMI 4 Guybrush is rude

Hi there,
when I end a conversation by clicking on "bye" or something alike Guybrush won't say anything, the conversation just stops.
Is it meant to be that way?

Guybrush "being rude" is unnessecary. You could have cancelled the talking with a right click.
This is just making me sad.
