No voices in Sam and Max Episode 1!!!!!!

The music is there and I can hear the city in the background but that is it for sound. I do have the first three episodes of monkey island and that works fine. Any help would be appreciated. I just tried updating Directx

    Have you tried updating your sound drivers?
