Black screen on lair of the leviathan

When I try to run LOTL I can hear the sounds of the sign coming up but all I can see is the text. Everything else is black. It's the same when I try to play. The characters are dark but visable, but there is no background. Gameplay and cutsceens are really jerky as well. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

    sounds like a graphics card problem. be sure your directX and drivers are up to date, then go ahead and send a ticket into support@telltalegames.com and I will begin troubleshooting with you there.
