Well Looky what I found

edited November 2009 in General Chat
I was just looking at the TTG article on Wikipedia, and it said this:
Telltale Games intend to distribute through the PlayStation Network as well and have expressed interest in the DSi and iPhone platforms as well as Mac and PSP Go.

DSi would be interesting!

The thing about Wikipedia is that you do not know who wrote that.

For all we know I could have written that while I was super drunk or something... although I imagine if I did, it would have spelling errors and I would probably go on for a paragraph or two about how pie is better than cake.

I do however hope its true.... But I just do not see how they could make it for the DSi.

At Pax 08 Kevin Bruner actually did say he'd like to see Telltale working with the iphone, and that Telltale would like to get their games onto any platform that allows downloadable content. But that's like as in, "It'd be really cool if we could, but we haven't figured it out yet," not "This is definitely gonna happen by 2012!" But they're not against the idea, I'd say.

I hope that is true. And if ever that is true gaming would be more fun and exciting. Guess I have to ignore some financial regulation and posting regulation in WIKI.

The other thing about wikipedia is that on well-managed articles, they link to sources. The quoted sentence has a source tag that links to this: http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/10/joystiq-interview-telltales-dan-connors-on-xbla-wallace-and-gro/

But they say that sort of thing in a lot of interviews, not just that one.

DS and Iphone would be great, but not if they are just ports of existing games.

I'm the one who added those lines, actually. I wouldn't have added them if I didn't have those references to back them up, but keep in mind that "expressed interest in" is a pretty weak wording and that's quite intentional; don't read too much into it.

It'd be a good idea to create new titles for DSi/Phone rather than port old games. Not sure if that would even work.

I hate when people cite Wikipedia. It's pointless.
    The real website is here.

Nah. The DSi is a sad attempt by nintendo to take their handheld consoles up a notch. Seriously, why the crap would I want to spend $169 for a game console exactly like the DS Lite when the only new features are two random and pointless digital cameras, the removal of the GBA slot, (which bars me from playing any of my old games) and slightly bigger screens? Sorry. Rant over.

I like my DS and I ain't changing it for a DSi. Or even a DSi XL when that's released next year. Ridiculous the number of different versions Nintendo do of their handhelds.

Hear hear. The moment they got rid of the GBA slot, I lost interest in the new system.

My Link to the Past and Dr Mario cartridges are very important to me.

I still keep my GBA handy since they felt it wasn't necessary to allow GB and GBC games to work on DS.

I'm still loving my DS Phat here. I'd like to get a DS lite for the extended battery life, but I don't like how apparently the GBA carts stick out of the system instead of fitting nicely like the Phat......so I've heard. But yeah, ditching the GBA slot was a bad move. Especially since many DS games utilize it for extra memory, rumble pack, or even a controller (Guitar Hero).

Of course I still have my GBA SP as well. I wish I had the latest one with the brighter screen but I'll live. It's amazing how dim the lighting is since it's actually a lamp and not a backlight behind the LCD pixels. But eventually I'll probably get a DSi...if the DSiWare games are any good. They almost had me despite the lack of GBA slot with music support...but lack of MP3s or OGGs.....oooooo hard fail. So close yet so far...

I bought the retro NES themed GBA SP, and then they came out with the backlit ones later and I was a sad panda.
