october announcement

edited November 2009 in General Chat
I remember reading telltale were going to release news of a new title sometime in october. I've had a little hunt for news on the net and through the forums but haven't come across anything so far.

Anyone got any news on this, as opposed to doctor who (please god noooo!) speculation? Or can TTG give us a little something to whet our appetite, possibly and announcement on the announcement, haha!? :)

Most people seem to think that they'll wait until the final part of ToMI has been released before they announce their next project, which seems like a smart move to me. It should be a couple of weeks, so just have a little patience.

    "Non-comedy" is floating around.

Edit: Oh yeah, and Grim Fandango has been ruled out.

Woah! When Telltale announced that they wanted to go for a more serious, less comedic venture, I didn't know they'd go THIS far in the other direction. I mean, I expect that they're planning on covering the often covered-up world of drug abuse in the sport. While it's mostly performance-enhancing steroids at first, the world these grannies are exposed to when they bulk up their arms and hands using bull and shark hormones also gives them access to some pretty hard stuff. It's estimated that a whopping 25% of Extreme Knitters die from complications caused by illegal drug abuse. If only the Knitting Network for Intermedite Through Totally Extreme Divisions would regulate and test their competitors! Still, this upcoming game could shed some light on the situation, and force the division directors to test their grannies, if only for PR reasons. Whatever the case, this game is going to be a dramatic, deep subject that will make all of us reflect on what success is worth, what sacrifice really is, and how relentlessly striving for fame, glory, and wealth really costs. Kudos to Telltale for choosing to cover such a dramatic and controversial subject.

It was extremely unlikely anyway but is there a specific quote to this effect?

No, someone said "Is it your next series?"

To which they responded "Nope!" It was an @ so you didn't see it unless you were sneaky.
