ToMI 1 - Cannot resume from saved game

Hi,
I saved ToMI 1 during the Island View (i.e. it's where you see Flotsam Island from above and normally can click on the places you have already visited to travel there). However, when I restore this saved game, I see no text descriptions of the locations and if I click nothing happens - so I am completely stuck.

I have installed the latest graphics drivers and updated dx with no success.

Please help!

    Could you attach your save file?

    Also, you should have a recent autosave.
