Tales of Monkey Island 2 not working right

Have downloaded this game from Wii shopping network and having difficulty with the game. Cannot get the character to walk or run following the instructions. Everything works in the game except that. What can I do?

Please help......:(

    If I remember correctly, Guybrush cannot move freely during the opening of Chapter 2. To progress you have to talk to Morgan while fighting. I'm not sure if this is your problem, but I hope this helps.

    Yeah, Chapter 2 starts with you locked in combat with Morgan. Try talking to her, or clicking on nearby objects with the pointer. Once you complete the opening puzzle, it's all about walking!
