All previous TOMI episodes worked on my comp (graphics lowest settings and windowed)

On TOMI5 when I start a new game I get a error and windows has to close

    Ah well.

    Solved this by going into 640 × 480

    Could I get a copy of your prefs.prop file by any chance? I'm thinking that setting things low like that should get it working on my computer, but I can't even get the program to load properly right now.

    Scratch that, I played it for a bit and logged off for something to eat.

    Now everytime I try and load my saved game - it crashes.

    Ok, I've attempted to upload a prefs.prop zip with 640x480, lowest settings windowed.

    same problem here
    i also had trouble in the authentication, and had to to the manual unlock.

    checked graphics driver and direct x and they're updated.
    i'm running win 7 and never had problems with the previous episodes.

    Thanks Will! That Prefs.prop, together with the drivers you linked me to over here, allowed me to play the chapter through from start to finish on this netbook! =D Didn't even get any slowdown whatsoever until the final fight scene.

    game crashes in 30-40 seconds after i started to play.

    tried to update all drivers, direct x and all.
    as i said before, never had problem with previous episodes that worked 100% at 1680x1050 at quality level 9.

    any ideas?

    Does it still crash if you turn the settings way down?

    yes

    i tried also in 640x480, windowed, quality at 1.

    it crashes seconds after the first couple of cards appear on the screen :(

    Could you try clearing out your temporary internet files and redownloading the episode?

    ok i've already redownloaded it, but i'll try again and i'll clean out the internet junk

    EDIT: After cleaning out the internet junk and running it in window seems to work and stable. Let's hope it keeps it on this way.
