F-franklin is okay... right? *Spoilers*

After Guybrush used the spell to open the portal, Franklin just disappeared, like he was consumed by the portal. But that's not what really happened, was it? Was it? TELL ME THE DOGGIE IS OKAY!

No he wasn't consumed. He just dissolved into a formless matter that ceased to exist as more than a toll.

In other words, he's dead, Jim.

The doggie is okay. He lives on a farm now with lots of new friends.

    The doggie is okay. :)

There, I told you. I don't know if it's the truth, but it's what you wanted to hear, right? XD

I reckon he's gone forever. The poor little guy.

Though his new friends are just metaphores and the farm is actually a pool of endless possibilities.

    He's dead.

    Dont worry.

He got Guybrushs shred of life and was saved.

Besides, the diamond survived the spell pretty well, I'd say the dog was sent into the world of the living just fine. Lucky guy.

*Edit: unless he ended up with LeChuck and got killed by him moments before Guybrush arrived

Doesn't his appearance in the world of the dead/undead make him dead in the first place? Meaning he WASN'T OK from the start? (seriously, is ANYONE ok in the Crossroads?) So by disappearing, he finally has found his peace?

It's resting! It's tired after a long skwak! He's pining for the fjords!

He leaves the crossroads and progresses to a more exalted realm in afterlife. All dogs go to Heaven.

It's not pining, it's passed on. This parrot dog is no more, it has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to see its maker. This is a late parrot dog. It's a stiff, bereft of life, it rests in peace. It's run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This...is an ex-parrot dog.

Don't be daft, of course Franklin wasn't hurt! At the last moment he was rescued from the ritual by Santino, whose actions are so fast that all you saw was Franklin disappearing. Doing so is what caused the rips, but Santino in his infinite wisdom knew that you needed all the rips so that you could solve the puzzles and defeat LeChuck (he thought it only fair that you had your chance at defeating LeChuck instead of taking all the glory himself, Santino is great like that).

Franklin died for our SINS. Or Guybrush's in this matter.

    If the
    ring
can survive the spell, so can Franklin.
