Super Slow Startup for ROTPG

I've played a lot of telltale games and have never had this problem before- When I click the "rise of the pirate god" icon on my desk top, it takes FOREVER for the initial intro screen to come up. It also slows down my PC drastically.

After the intro screen does load, i click "Play Game" and then it takes FOREVER for the actual game to load.

Once the game starts everything is fine and normal- any ideas why the startup process is so slow?

    I had this kind of problem when I was using Intel integrated graphics chipset, but the game was slow as well.

    Have the same problem on Windows 7. Takes a good 2-3 minutes on a brand new computer to get the game running. Any ideas as to why?
