Hello guys!Greeting from a huge fan of Monkey Island from Greece.

I rarely get here in the forums,so i would like to know,if there is any official information that there is gonna be a new season,or all these are just assumptions.
And if yes,i hope not after 10 years again :D

Thank you in andvance.I just can't live knowing that i won't play Monkey Island again someday.:p

@mermaid: Yes that soon! I think with so many new players they should be able to maybe build a second team for turning out a couple of games a year.

I believe Sam and Max 2010 will be released very soon, and it'll take 5 months, then maybe a W&G or Strong Bad or a completely new series shows up and takes 5 months, so I can say that after 10 months or a year, we will be playing ToMI2.

    @falanca
    I think you are right

Never. It will be Monkey Island 6, and it will probably be released and 2010 or 2011.

I love you people for being so sure and optimistic about this. :D
I'm still suffering from the 9 years pause between awful EMI and TOMI I guess.

Thinking about it, I have the feeling that they might have shortened the story of TOMI a little (clearly there are a LOT of things left unexplained at the end of chapter 5) to have some fundament for the story of season 2.

Still, for me it's hard to guess when that new season's going to ready...so let's all start pestering them in here until it's there.

Season 2 of Sam and Max was like 6 months after Season 1 ended. So it's not crazy.

But it's also not a great idea. Unlike TV series, I think there's a need to rest these things a bit. By 2012 I'll be good and ready for more Monkey Island.

Don't they already have like 3 teams? How else did they work on Sam and Max Season 3, ToMI, and the new CSI at once?

There is no official word. It's all speculation.

As much as I would love to see another series next year, it is doubtful that it will happen, seeing as we will get the third season of Sam and Max. I reacon that 2011 is a good guess.

i am uber optimistic, i will say that ToMI was actually finished in 2007 and they are so close to finishing ToMI 2 so they are gonna surprise us and release it on jan 2010, am i hoping too much there, do you wanna break our hearts tell tale :(?

It wouldn't surprise me if they surprised us again so close to release. In fact I hope they do that as it would make the wait more bareable.

Last quarter of 2010 I hope.

According to the Retro gaming magazine, Lucasarts have hinted that there will be an interesting announcement in march next year that will make fans happy. Maybe they'll announce Tomi season 2 and Somi2 remake?
    One can only hope.

2011 is the earliest possible time [for us realists on here].

hey, let them party a bit before throwing themselves into programming work again…

The gap between S1 and S2 of Sam and Max was just 6 months so 2010 is certainly possible. That said I expect a little license wrangling and series rotation to push it to 2011.
