Unable to run games due to lack of Direct3D anyone know how to remedy this please.

downloaded/installed DirectX/3d but made no difference.

Does this mean my hardware doesn't support this accelerator?

thanx..

I'm using an Averatec laptop "M6220" running XP

If you didn't buy a gaming laptop, odds are it can't handle 3D applications. The best way to find out for sure is to visit Averatec's website http://www.trigem.com/

Their support department is familiar with your system and what it can or can't handle. If your gaming problems can be resolved with a dedicated video card, they can recommend one or more that will suit your needs.

Before you leave their site, use their online scanner to ensure your drivers are up to date, too. :)
