edited January 2010 in General Chat
GoodOldGames is giving away the first two Tex Murphy games, Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum, for free to anyone who had a registered account with them. Neat!

Also, Steam is selling Ceville for 50% for anyone who wants to try it out.

Also, Steam is selling Broken Sword 2 + 3 in a bundle for $7.49. That is a great deal.

That is a pretty good deal on BS2/3, except BS3 isn't really all that great. Theres only so much crate puzzles i can take. Plus (if you live in the uk at least) You can get BS1/2/3 +beneath a steel sky for £5 from amazon.

    Thanks for the information though!

IIRC, there are three, maybe four, crate puzzles in BS3. While slightly annoying, they're certainly survivable.

I'd only really be interested in the Broken Sword bundle, but I've already got the whole series :( Oh well, at least it should tempt others into buying them.

But the biggest question is why isn't the first game in the series available?

I'm sure there were at least 8. And they are the only parts i can really remember about the game. Given i only played it for the first time (and completed it) a week ago, that's not really a good thing. Sure, i can remember i couple of things (Glastonbury was nice, and the dragon fight), but that, along with my hatred of the controls/camera left a bad aftertaste.

Probably because of the "remake" (you know, director's cut with extra stuff).

    Sorry for the bump.
