Games For Windows Live Client

edited December 2009 in General Chat
I don't know if anyone here knows about this yet, but Microsoft launched their new Games For Windows Live Client on 15th of this month, along with its new "games on demand" service...

Are TT considering releasing software on this platform too?

On a side note, I hope Lucasarts use it so I can get MI:SE for the PC and not use steam - G4WL seems much easier to use and by all records installs games into the start menu as normal :)

What you guys think?

I personally think Steam is fine, and easy to use, once you get used to it.

I think that achievements need to be in games on this service. The service itself is pretty cool too.

If they intergrated Online play through Windows Live and XBox Live for all online games sold through it it would be pretty cool. At the minute everything on it seems far too expensive whereas Steam's having the sale of the century

Gah, when will Microsoft realise that they've created a fecking piece of shite and just give up.

Too little, too late. That they actually wanted people to pay for this service when it was first released a few years back shows just how clueless they are to the digital distribution development. The ball belongs to Steam, with the likes of D2D and GameTap behind it, not this lumbering, festering program of mediocracy.

The actual interface (in game) of GFWL is far nicer than that of Steam, I use both, and it happily tracks my friends on both systems. I bought Osmos from the GFWL program it was cheaper than the steam sale and I get to use my Live ID to play, So it's a win-win situation.
