My day has been made. :D 20 bucks altogether for the lot of 'em. Go forward, friends. Go forward and feast on the point n' clicky goodness.

That's a lot of money for some really old games. I would expect a pack like that to be $5, tops.

I agree with you on the price of the Space Quest collection, to an extent. But $10 for Phantasmagoria is an awesome deal!

I'm more interested in the HD wallpapers and artwork, honestly, seeing as I already have the games.

I'm not sold on the SQ deal, since SQ 1-6 is on Steam for 20 bucks... I mean, it's kinda the same thing... but not quite.

Phantasmagoria has always looked interesting, but perhaps when I have spare time.

I'm waiting for the Zork collection to be released! Hopefully they can do that, even though some of the games are already on Gametap.

I watched my mom play through all of Phantasmagoria when I was a kid, it looked pretty cool...

    ... I was also seven. :|

Egad, talk about traumatizing childhood events. At least it wasn't the sequel, eh? ("Mommy, what's an S and M club?")

I may have to rebuy Phantasmagoria, the one I have is only one disc, and I'm not certain Phantasmagoria was ever released on only one disc.

I think it used 7 discs!

I really wanted to try out Phantasmagoria. Can I get it separate?
  • edited February 2010
Phantasmagoria's separate from the Space Quests.

And yeah, it had 7 CDs. Is it seriously only 1.6 gb? Daaaang. I played it way back when I was in middle school, but fortunately I think I missed most of the
visions of the horrible, horrible murders
and I got stuck and stopped playing near the end so it didn't scar me too badly. That was Gabriel Knight's job a couple years later. :D

Yeah, Gabriel Knight is scarier than Phantasmagoria, that's for sure. It's still worth a playthrough though.

Also, why no Space Quest 1-3? Don't get me wrong, I love them all just about equally, but getting only half of them seems kind of a deal breaker for me. Doesn't matter though, since I already own the 2006 collection.

Yeah, a lot of repeated data across discs makes the game much smaller than one would think. I'm pretty sure it was the same deal with 11th Hour. (another great game, incidentally)

I'm curious about Gabriel Knight, which I missed out on. Might get that with Phantasmagoria.

I think Space Quest 4 is the best in the series :)

If I had to guess, after the flak Vivendi got back when they released the XP Collections, GOG decided to just bypass the madness concerning the pre-VGA games and their remakes.

The Red Baron and The Incredible Machine series are now also on GoG.

Maybe I'll get it if they'll add speech to SQ5. that little bump of text only is annoying.

You, sir, are a kindred spirit.

You won't be buying them then. That'll NEVER happen. The sources for Sierra's games are loooooong gone.

Now THAT was almost as quick a buy as ToMI... :D

Also, not only is TIM on GoG but it's also just 4.99 USD this weekend... ;)
